ok i'm too impatient to wait for the poll to end so here's a lore dump about my oc, angel
this is pretty much her entire life story so strap in
in the storyline where she, you, i, and pretty much everybody else exists (not rlly but i'm getting there) the universe is infinite, and this means every possible scenario exists in this universe. this means that she can find a planet with a similarity to a specific book, show, movie, etc, almost down to a single atom or molecule, and it would exist. this has a lot of weird implications like billions of eerily similar copies of the exact same thing, every story ever being real, and also endless voids between different places because with infinite possibilities there can also be lots of voids and yeah
however, this does not mean the universe was based on specific stories or whatnot, it's seriously just crazy coincidence that is possible due to an infinite universe with infinite possibilities. technically it's not those stories, it's just places that happen to be extremely similar to these stories in every way
angel doesn't really have a home planet, which is what makes it kinda weird. when she is introducing herself to the reader (i will get to that later), she explains she doesn't know where she or her ship (i will also get to this later) came from, she just knows she is. she spends her free time trying to travel between planets and galaxies that resemble her favorite human stories
okay lemme explain the ship. she has this cool ship that basically teleports thru space except she has no idea where it came from or how it came into her possession. again she just kinda has it and has always had it and gas always been in it
NOW lemme explain why she doesn't know where she came from!!!
....it's divine intervention. that's literally it.
which ties into our next point which is how she can explain herself directly to the reader!! she has a few special capabilities, like the ability to break the fourth wall, but not really be conscious about it. she breaks the fourth wall and doesn't realize what she just did because she hasn't really unlocked that consciousness and probably never will. she also has the ability to talk to the author (me), but kind of in a weird way because she doesn't know who's talking to her, who i am, and for all she knows i could just be her inner consciousness. her final ability is the fact that she has "plot armor" which is basically a silly way of saying she has extreme luck and can get out of dangerous situations easily. she also regards herself as "highly intelligent", has a massive ego, and a lot of exes, which we will definitely get into
at some point she meets her otp who's name is jackal who has the same abilities as her except he's far less aware about it. she also met him by accident and he didn't come to exist in the same way as her (he's human and came to exist in very human ways iykwim) and he's actually about to get killed when angel stumbled across his planet (random earth copy number 7 billion or something). they leave that shithole and soon angel and jackal are now visiting planets and doing their thing and angel dates a lot of aliens on a lot of different planets except all those relationships eventually because she's literally me and cannot hold a relationship.
anyway eventually they find their way to the ihnmaims universe because she's, again, literally me and finds AM hot and angel at first doesn't let jackal come off the ship because his plot armor sucks (real words she says to him) and yeah AM almost kills her and then jackal saves her but oh no!!! JACKAL DIES!!!!!!!!!
yeah he was bound to die from the start. it's important trust me
so basically jackal's last words are stuff about how his real name isn't jackal, it's james, and he tells her to leave his body here and never come back, and it's extremely important that she leaves quickly which is why she can't take the body. she doesn't want to, but she realizes it's his dying wish to keep her safe so she dips. byebye AM!!!
(he'll come back......... don't worry....)
anyway angel decides she needs to do something to get her mind off of everything that ever happened so she decides to chill and have a vacation on yautja prime (or at least one of them. again the universe is infinite and billions of copies exist of the same thing) and everything is cool and fine and dandy except.... jackal is back?
yeah jackal comes back. and he has a weird new outfit. and his eyes look kinda weird but angel doesn't notice it at first
and them she does notice it and she realizes that new jackal doesn't act anything like old jackal and he has like 0 memories or recollection of his life before he died. and then something smells FISHY.
she eventually confronts him about it after he denies the patches she gathered for his cool new leather jacket (jackal was punk oops forgot to mention), basically saying "why would i need patches?". this like freaks out angel because OBVIOUSLY YOU NEED PATCHES FOR YOUR BATTLE JACKET!!! so she tells him he's been acting weird and he drops the act and
basically, AM employed ted to retrieve him the bodies of his deceased comrades so he could use their brains to build himself a supercomputer inside of jackal's body. ted builds him this body consisting of pretty much only brains throughout his ENTIRE body, layers of bone protecting the brain all over like a skull except it's his entire body, (his mobility is pretty bad because of this, it only has a few bends in specific places) and he replaced the eyes with screens. AM promised ted he would set him free if he did this simple kind gesture for him. guess what didn't happen?

AM basically dips after that to search for angel because obviously he wants to kill her. he's super mad at her because he intended on killing both angel and jackal so yeah he's a bit peeved
angel, in turn, is mad at him because AM literally mutilated her true love and then basically intergalactic war breaks and EVERYBODY is taking sides. it's like when you and your friend argue and then the entire friend group is taking sides. but pretty much the people following AM are the bad guys and the people following angel are the good guys because who tf would ever want to follow that freaky computer?
it's kind of not rlly a long lasting war because AM realizes he loves being human (duh that's the entire point of the story he was pissed he couldn't be a human so he tortured humans) and literally becomes radicalized because of it and then thinks "yk what's a good idea? i should kidnap angel."
yeah he feels like he owes his life to angel because she left him the body and she also made him finally take action into becoming human so the war ends and becomes a long chase scene of AM trying to hunt angel down however she always gets away because she does NOT want him after what he did to her true love jackal!!
eventually AM realizes he's never gonna be able to kidnap her so he sneaks onto her ship and then BAM they're stuck together. angel is pissed because she doesn't know how to get him out, AM is pissed because she used to find him hot and now she hates him and they're lowk just stewing in their anger for a bit before they start arguing and then they just start talking and they realize it's kinda fun just to talk to each other and they talk and talk until one thing leads to another iykwim
this experience radicalizes AM even more into believing life is the most amazing thing ever and he lowk gets a redemption arc and then that's pretty much where it ends
it's pretty much all a metaphor for how all life is precious and should be protected
