By now Lawrence was familiar with most of the faces that entered the speakeasy. It was a rare yet exciting sight to see someone new- it was quite refreshing. Leaning against the bar counter, Lawrence slid over a glass of whiskey at the stranger. “First drink here is on the house.” He grinned, placing his hands under his chin as he stared at the other. “I haven’t seen you around- what’s your name sir?”
"Goddamn it, what else could go wrong?"
“At this point I think it’s just fate telling us we can’t leave.”Lawrence leaned against the wall with his back and crossedhis arms over his chest. They were trapped in a labyrinth of hallways and dead-ends. Also conveniently enough, none of theexits seem to be actual exits.
“I’d just give up on trying.”
"I want you to have my baby!"
“How about I pass…”

“You must think me some kind of freak.”
“Freak? Hardly- I’ve come across a lot stranger people… I work in a business where I serve criminals and gamblers for a living, nothing phases me.” Lawrence pauses, leaning against the bar counter, pushing the drink over to the stranger, “So what’s your story? Hmm? You look like quite the roguish type- the kind that used to be in an awful sort of trouble.” Lawrence knew he was running his mouth off but that of course was his job. Serve and be a perfect host to the speakeasy’s guests.
