Stars aligned in a certain way.
Stars aligned in a certain way, my god,
And paths I thought were parallel suddenly crossed.
I never believed in this astrology thing, fate, or the universe,
But maybe after this alignment,
I thought it was how this was supposed to be.
It was unexpected, but not unwanted,
The kind of thing you’ve never dreamt of,
but you don’t mind living it.
The stars aligned in a certain way, my god,
Time came standing at my door, saying,
“You make your decision before I leave with him. You don’t have much time left. If you don’t make your choice now,
It’s either unrequired regret or regret with a broken heart."
One would leave me wondering my whole remaining life,
with the sacrifice of my own peace of mind.
One would leave me bleeding, with a torn-apart heart,
and unforgettable lessons learned.
The stars aligned in a certain way, my god,
What should I do? What could I do?
I had my flaws, and I was scared to face my fears.
Should I take a leap of faith, or should I protect myself?
Doubt and insecurity were continuously haunting my mind.
I was so confused to take the step,
‘Cause I had been hurt like never before.
The stars aligned in a certain way, my god,
who can fight the fate anyway?
I decided to say screw it, leaving everything to the universe,
The same one I once didn’t believe in.
I closed my eyes and took the step forward,
And when I fell from the cliff, you were there to catch me.
