Every now and then, you can run into a unique, fun and satisfying event during a holiday away from home. Our family is such an activity in which we were recently on vacation in Naples, Florida. An Internet search led to a website detail dinner cruises aboard a "luxury yachts", named after the Naples Princess. A phone call to our condo has revealed that yes, they were to sail that evening, and yes, they had space for my family, a group of eight. The menu also sounded pretty good, too! The reservations were booked immediately, and their representative gave me specific driving directions, which was very useful as I had never been to Naples before.About hour later we all pulled into dock or port call area, bought our tickets and boarded the beautiful, luxurious, long 94 'Naples Princess yacht. The ship had two levels, both with full bar, an open air observation deck both fore and aft. In addition, there was a covered outdoor deck at the stern to the second level. The heads were very clean level.Our cruise started at 7:00 PM, and in about 5 minutes from the cast off dinner was served. And what a dinner it was! buffet, all you can eat BBQ ribs to die for, chicken breast in the oven that melted in the mouth, and with the compliments of beans, garlic potatoes, coleslaw and rolls. Was included with the meal or coffee or water. The bar was filled with soft drinks as well as normal 'bar fee' available as a supplement. The seats at the table has been arranged for you party, and all eight of us have had a lot of elbow space at our table. The seats are very comfortable, crisp linens, dishes of high quality and low light candles added to the dining area. The interior of the rooms was finished in dark wood with tinted windows that allows for optimal viewing in all directions. This ship was very classy, and the crew made us feel like passengers on the more important that had ever sailed on Princess.On Naples our cruise there were only a further 20 people or so, so all of us We had a lot of room to maneuver around the ship. After dinner was over (did I mention the delicious cheese cake, fudge cake and carrot cake we had for dessert?) Our attention was drawn to the magnificent landscape totally from any location on the ship. The captain was telling how long crossed, directing our view points of interest along the waterway between the mainland and an area known as the Ten Thousand Islands. His narrative was strong enough to be heard, but it was not overwhelming in any way if you wanted to make conversation with people around you. The "houses" (buildings really) we saw were truly indescribable. Most were up 5,000 square feet, some with pensions that the first houses large as most people '. It 'hard to imagine that many of these homes were "only residences in the winter." Some vacant lots are still available for a simple 4-6000000 dollars, if you are adding to the beautiful area interested.In developed, we were treated to see some natural mangrove islands intact, with a wide assortment of birds. A real treat was the sighting of several dolphins that frolicked in our ship for a sea while.The were too rough, the night of our cruise venturing into the Gulf of Mexico, but that was not really a big disappointment of any size , as the cruise was delightful, not the Gulf. I spoke with Jim Albert, the captain of the Princess of Naples, her feelings of being in this business. A Navy veteran, he loves his job, the pilots of the ship 3 times a week, and thoroughly enjoys the interaction with his passengers. I learned from him that Chef Dana had prepared the entire meal on board our galley of the ship. Jim said he was the cook of 13 years, and is alone able to prepare food for 100. The only time I need help is when the party on board the vessel exceeds 100. And her kitchen is very tiny! What a wonderful time we enjoyed this cruise. Good food, good company, great service, and a scenic view presented in a way that most will never see. The night we sailed a special price was right, with a buy one adult get second half price offer. So, with $ 65 as full price, our price for two adults was only $ 97.50. We had a child, even at half price, and our youngest grandson was not responsible.
