Nassau, Bahamas: first choice for a summer holiday
Many years ago I took a nice vacation with my family in Nassau, Bahamas. In truth, this was like a paradise destination for a wide-eyed teenager who loved the sea and the sand at his feet. I remember lazy days snorkeling in the clear waters. All types of fish and marine life mesmerized me as I swam around the reef. The days were often met with warm tropical rains that have left as fast as they came. This was common, I was told and learned to program my outdoor activities around the rain. The warm sun tan made an easy task. Things to do in NassauThe BeachesWalking and swimming along the endless beaches are among my favorite activities in Nassau. The water was emerald green and turquoise. I collected shells along the quiet and enjoyed a cool drink under an umbrella. FishingThe Bahamas is an ideal place for big tournaments, cards and offshore enthusiasts or beginners sportsfishing. The flat and deep waters are ideal for a day in water for a summer cruise. Diving Nassau is known for its fantastic diving spots. From coral reefs and blue holes and caves to shipwrecks, diving and skin will feel at home and get a new sense of awe in the limpid waters off the whole of Nassau and its surrounding islands as well. FestivalsNassau has many festivals throughout the year to keep visitors entertained and actively participate. The culture nurtures various celebrations active races, dances, Goombay music, and other cultural activities not want to see. This is a true native fair on the streets of Nassau. Luxury Dinner Cruise in Naples, Florida
Every now and then, you can run into a unique, fun and satisfying event during a holiday away from home. Our family is such an activity in which we were recently on vacation in Naples, Florida. An Internet search led to a website detail dinner cruises aboard a "luxury yachts", named after the Naples Princess. A phone call to our condo has revealed that yes, they were to sail that evening, and yes, they had space for my family, a group of eight. The menu also sounded pretty good, too! The reservations were booked immediately, and their representative gave me specific driving directions, which was very useful as I had never been to Naples before.About hour later we all pulled into dock or port call area, bought our tickets and boarded the beautiful, luxurious, long 94 'Naples Princess yacht. The ship had two levels, both with full bar, an open air observation deck both fore and aft. In addition, there was a covered outdoor deck at the stern to the second level. The heads were very clean level. Our cruise started at 7:00 PM, and in about 5 minutes from the cast off dinner was served. And what a dinner it was! buffet, all you can eat BBQ ribs to die for, chicken breast in the oven that melted in the mouth, and with the compliments of beans, garlic potatoes, coleslaw and rolls. Was included with the meal or coffee or water. The bar was filled with soft drinks as well as normal 'bar fee' available as a supplement. The seats at the table has been arranged for you party, and all eight of us have had a lot of elbow space at our table. The seats are very comfortable, crisp linens, dishes of high quality and low light candles added to the dining area. The interior of the rooms was finished in dark wood with tinted windows that allows for optimal viewing in all directions. This ship was very classy, and the crew made us feel like passengers on the more important that had ever sailed on Princess. On Naples our cruise there were only a further 20 people or so, so all of us We had a lot of room to maneuver around the ship. After dinner was over (did I mention the delicious cheese cake, fudge cake and carrot cake we had for dessert?) Our attention was drawn to the magnificent landscape totally from any location on the ship. The captain was telling how long crossed, directing our view points of interest along the waterway between the mainland and an area known as the Ten Thousand Islands. His narrative was strong enough to be heard, but it was not overwhelming in any way if you wanted to make conversation with people around you. The "houses" (buildings really) we saw were truly indescribable. Most were up 5,000 square feet, some with pensions that the first houses large as most people '. It 'hard to imagine that many of these homes were "only residences in the winter." Some vacant lots are still available for a simple 4-6000000 dollars, if you are adding to the beautiful area interested. In developed, we were treated to see some natural mangrove islands intact, with a wide assortment of birds. A real treat was the sighting of several dolphins that frolicked in our ship for a sea while. The were too rough, the night of our cruise venturing into the Gulf of Mexico, but that was not really a big disappointment of any size , as the cruise was delightful, not the Gulf. I spoke with Jim Albert, the captain of the Princess of Naples, her feelings of being in this business. A Navy veteran, he loves his job, the pilots of the ship 3 times a week, and thoroughly enjoys the interaction with his passengers. I learned from him that Chef Dana had prepared the entire meal on board our galley of the ship. Jim said he was the cook of 13 years, and is alone able to prepare food for 100. The only time I need help is when the party on board the vessel exceeds 100. And her kitchen is very tiny! What a wonderful time we enjoyed this cruise. Good food, good company, great service, and a scenic view presented in a way that most will never see. The night we sailed a special price was right, with a buy one adult get second half price offer. So, with $ 65 as full price, our price for two adults was only $ 97.50. We had a child, even at half price, and our youngest grandson was not responsible. A more reasonable cost for a evening. When more fun to visit Naples, do not you dare miss a cruise on the Naples Princess!

The Importance of Travel Phrase Books
When visiting a foreign country where the natives speak a different language than the language you speak fluently, it is advisable to take a trip PhraseBook for the country. A Travel Phrase Book contains essential words and phrases in the language (s) of the country. I witnessed the following incident during my first trip to Europe in the late 1990s, in which a travel phrase book was not part of the equation: It was an early start to my first full day in Paris, France. I was at breakfast in my hotel. An English-speaking couple was next to my table, dining room when the woman loaded the server to their table. For the next minute she tried on male waiter that she wanted to communicate a little orange juice, but it soon became obvious that the waiter had no idea what she was talking about, especially since these guests could not speak French. They also have not owned a travel phrasebook in French. The woman passenger was talking to a really special accent that I had also problems with understanding, because the last syllables of the words she had spoken French silently. As result of this "dis-connection", spoke up irritation in the voice of Woman with each subsequent trial for the hard glass of liquid vitamin C. "Orange Juice! Orange juice! I want orange juice! "The woman (the large upper body was ... this tidbit to keep in mind) has been shown repeatedly on her orange sweater, as if the words granules waiter seemed to finally understand the woman barked gestures, so that he fell their menu request received. It seemed that my advice do not get this valuable tool was necessary (after all) later in this instance. But less than a minute the French servers came back with a big jug of milk! The woman companion quipped: "He must" ve thought you were showing your big breast milk! "I could not hold it, and started laughing really hard to cry to the point. The couple laughed, too. Finally, the woman companion went to a nearby table that included a half-empty glass of orange juice and raised his glass to the server what she wanted to show all the time. Too bad this book is not about my travel recommendation pair with French phrases handy! While this is a funny story about what happens if travelers do not have a handy travel PhraseBook with them, think what can happen if you get lost, or if a medical emergency and have no way of communicating with the locals. Can ten or so dollar investment in this type of product could have the difference between a great trip and one that is devastating. The knowledge that the keyword or key-word will get you in the right way to communicate with the locals, and they will be willing to help the travelers to try their talk talk! As a visitor to foreign countries, it is our responsibility to be oriented in the local language, not vice versa. Not always assume that everyone you come in contact with on a trip to a foreign country is your native language is understood. Get the proper travel phrase book! My favorite such reference points for European trips are written by Rick Steves. Other publishers include Berlitz and Penguin.

Cheap Backpacking Gear for Beginners
Backpacking, like most outdoor pursuits can be an expensive proposition. Space Age materials and ever-changing technology offers a host of good products that are quite expensive. But remember, was scaled Mount Everest over 60 years ago with much less impressive equipment than is common today. If 60 year-old technology was capable of reaching the summit of Mount Everest, I doubt very much that anybody needs the latest equipment in order to walk a few miles of a National Forest. Here's a guide to basic cheap backpacking gear to get you into the woods without breaking bank.Hiking boots and shoes is an area that has seen a huge improvement over the past decades. Although the technology at the top has been improved, the change in the quality of cheap hiking boots and shoes fantastic. You may not want to exhibit the entire Appalachian Trail with a pair of boots from Wal-Mart, but the weekend warrior these cheap backpacking boots should be fine. I do most of my hikes in the training shoes that I find them more convenient in nice weather. Whatever the price, always with a backup pair footwear. The backpack itself is an area of gear where the price is just ridiculous. There are many great hiking backpacks, and it has been around for many years. Beginners and others looking for a deal must go to eBay and other retailers sell used goods. Mature external frame backpacks are often used for twenty dollars or so. Be careful with the new external cut rates backpacks that are common on eBay beginning of the twenty U.S. dollars range. These cheaply-made packages are unlikely to be of suitable quality for years of use.Small and cheap tents that works for backpacking can be purchased from most major retailers. Used tents are an option for the frugal backpacker, but buying them online can be a crap shoot as to whether or not the item is complete.A usual evening dress that is all you need for basic backpacking and cooking over an open fire. For trips of a few days, canned food and other perishable foods can be transported and eliminate the need for cooking. Water can also be made, but the weight is prohibitive. Water purification tablets are an option but to filter the water has become a very expensive process and is faster and easier. For less, probably much less, than $ 200 a beginning backpacker can get started in the sport. There are many beautiful and useful products to market that make backpacking trips more pleasant and efficient, but they are not absolutely necessary.
