Next series of Sherlock could be last, BBC showâs creator warns Patrick Foster, media correspondent 15 JULY 2016 The next series of Sherlock, the hit BBC drama, could be the last, the programmeâs creator has warned, as he suggested that Benedict Cumberbatch is now such an internationally-renowned actor that he only does the show out of loyalty to its fans. Steven Moffat, the executive producer of the BBC One show, said that he was âamazedâ that the corporation had managed to secure âfilm starsâ such as Cumberbatch, who plays the eponymous detective, and Martin Freeman, his sidekick Doctor Watson, for a fourth series, which is expected to air in early 2017. He added: âI donât know how long we can keep it going. Iâm personally willing but Iâm hardly the main draw. I would be moderately surprised if this was the last time we ever made this show. But it absolutely could be.â More here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/15/next-series-of-sherlock-could-be-last-bbc-shows-creator-warns/

Pre-ordered awhile back, received today!
Shakespeare Live! From the RSC Benedict recently received critical acclaim in Lyndsey Turnerâs sold out production of 'Hamlet' at the Barbican; the fastest-selling ticket in London theatre history. For the BBC, Benedict will be playing the villainous Richard III in the upcoming second series of The Hollow Crown. His other BBC credits include the title role in Sherlock for which he won an Emmy, received three BAFTA nominations and a Golden Globe nomination and BBC Twoâs Emmy-nominated adaptation of Paradeâs End. At the National Theatre Benedict starred alongside Jonny Lee Miller in 'Frankenstein' and in Thea Sharrockâs revival of 'After the Dance.' He received an Oscar nomination for The Imitation Game (2014) and his other feature film credits include Twelve Years a Slave (2013), The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013), War Horse (2011), Black Mass (2015), and The Fifth Estate (2013). I know where Benedict was tonight...đ
My nephew is visiting in New York City and saw David Tennant in Richard II on stage tonight. And guess who he sat near? Yep, Benedict Cumberbatch. He just now called to tell me but I was out walking the dogs so missed his call.
Pics I took off the DVD, Benedict in "Four Lions" (2010)...
Dr. Strange!
Itâs ZENedict Cumberbatch: Actor chills out with Buddhist monk in Nepal Hamlet star enjoys a lesson in meditation on a break from filming Marvel film Doctor Strange AFTER moaning at theatre-goers for taking his picture last year, BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH needed to chill out. Thankfully, The Hamlet star enjoyed a lesson in meditation at Nepalâs Shechen Monastery during a break from filming Marvel flick Doctor Strange. Benedict was pictured alongside Lama Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche before the Buddhist monk gave him a private blessing. The Doctor Strange cast and crew flew to Nepal in November to shoot part of the blockbuster, which is set for release at the end of the year. Part of the story takes place in the Himalayas, where the lead character becomes the Master of the Mystic Arts. A source said: âBenedict was fascinated.â From The Sun: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/6847210/Benedict-Cumberbatch-chills-out-with-Buddhist-monk.html BTW...I've left off the snarky last sentence because it was weird. Benedict is widely known for how NICE he is to his fans, so I was bewildered by it.
