ok so... I have been studying astrology since 2018, and have been learning, learning, learning lots and lots!! I do chart readings for close friends and family, and there are websites like cafe astrology that are great for getting an overall synopsis of your birth chart (or anyones birth chart really). I usually get the chart from astro-seek and then start breaking them down. the problem with a lot of these websites is that they usually are unable to tell you how all of the aspects within your chart play with each other. so, you'll end up reading one thing that makes sense and one thing that doesn't bc they don't usually consider everything together. that's why you go to someone who knows how to read charts like myself!

now onto that wonderful question >:) is drarry astrologically compatible? the short answer is yes! they actually share a lot of the same aspects because they were born a month apart, so a lot of their compatibility comes from the fact that they have a lot of planets in the same sign which creates an incredibly intense and deeply intuitive dynamic between them.

so, first, we have to start with harry's birth chart. I haven't done a birth chart analysis for him because it's tricky... when I did draco's I put his birthplace as Wiltshire, as that's where the manor is, and so it makes the most sense that he would have been born there. however, for harry, the challenge comes with the fact that godric's hollow is not a real place and if you use the place godric's hollow is based off for his chart analysis the major thing that changes is harry's moon sign. if you use the town godric's hollow is based off of, harry is a pisces moon. if you use london, he's an aries moon. like draco, I had to sorta guess on some things because, well, they aren't real people and it's not like I can pull up their birth certificate, jaja. I had to take the knowledge I had about different astrological placements and make my best guesses as to where each character fits! example: draco's rising sign being in libra was a guesstimate and i almost went with scorpio, but felt a libra rising would fit him best. with harry, an aries moon makes so much more sense. aries moon is passionate, quick to anger, impulsive, and a warrior - they fight, will give you the shirt off their back if they saw you needed it, and love hard. while pisces moons (draco) are more emotionally intuitive and reserved, aries moons are more direct. which is why whenever I pull up harry's chart I use place his birthplace as london... I could go on abt how that most likely makes sense for harry to be born in london, as that's where st. mungo's is, but that's a discussion for another time!
here's what you need to know about the planets:

now, let's just do a very basic overview of harry's placements. he's a leo sun (compatible with draco's gemini sun, as air and fire elements are likely to get along), an aries moon (the beginning of the zodiac, which opposes draco's pisces moon - the last sign of the zodiac), a cancer mercury (like draco), a gemini venus (like draco), and a libra mars (libra's ruling planet is venus and is in detriment when in the planet of mars. aries is the sign ruled by mars, so while his aries moon can be confrontational and aggressive, libra dislikes being in conflict - meaning, he can fight, but there's a part of him that doesn't want to). onto the drarry compatibility:
we begin with harry's rising sign of sagittarius, and draco's gemini sun which sit at opposition. when an aspect sits at opposition it means they experience a polarity, sit across from one another in the zodiac wheel, and have energies that sit at odds. sag and gemini are sister signs, which means they are two ends of the same spectrum, and are, quite literally, two sides of the same coin. it also indicates an interesting dynamic of opposites attracting. on one hand, this is actually a good combo bc it creates a magnetic connection between the two - what draco lacks, harry makes up for - and harry is drawn to draco, thinking of him as "the right person" to balance him out (two sides of the same coin), but if one of them is immature or defensive (draco) they are likely to argue. harry's sag rising also squares draco's pisces moon. when an aspect is squared, it's known for being action-oriented and hot-headed, and with this aspect creates a strong emotional sensitivity between them that can lead to outbursts and hurt feelings. sag and pisces are ruled by the same planet of jupiter (the planet of luck) and are elemental opposites. think of it like... a steamy connection with emotional highs and lows where luck (aka timing) is what creates either opposition (meeting before draco's much needed ego death) or connection (meeting again post ego-death). harry's sag rising also squares draco's virgo mars but because harry's ascendent (rising) is in sag, that means his descendent is in gemini. one thing abt this is, you identify with your rising and are walking towards it in this life, but people can often see you as your descendant. so this creates an aspect where harry walks away from the gemini aspect and towards the sag aspect. this is something i'll get into with harry's chart analysis (bc it also indicates that he likes intellectually stimulating ppl) but the overall compatibility meaning is: who draco thinks harry is, opposes the way in which draco approaches conflict. which is, quite literally, an indicator of enemies. lmfao.
harry's aries moon squares draco's gemini venus, meaning that they have a strong connection but are likely to carry the emotional baggage of the past with them into their relationship, which creates an uneasy atmosphere. sometimes harry isn't able to emotionally support draco in the way he needs, and draco is likely to struggle with his own self-worth in this relationship because his venus is in retrograde (meaning: appears to be going backwards, creates a lot of self-doubt, etc.) basically, if internal emotional issues are resolved they can come together because they both have a gemini venus and this aspect conjuncts. a conjunction happens when two or more planets line up exactly, and their energies blend and work together. venus conjunctions are an aspect for long-term relationships and means that they both have the same expectations within their relationships. considering the aries moon square alongside the gemini venus conjunction, this means if they are able to work through their emotional issues they will cultivate a relationship that is gentle, where both are exceptionally kind towards the other and where they both experience a mutual understanding that allows them to share their feelings and ideas.
harry's libra mars trines draco's gemini sun, which is an excellent aspect for marriage (what was it you said about ship validation, bestie?) ((yea I am laughing a little bit over this one, but it's all in good fun I promise you ;* <3)). trines are similar to conjuction, suggesting a harmonious angle of support, and is a favorable astrological aspect. harry is likely to consistently express his attraction and desire for draco and draco, in turn, provides harry with inspiration, encouragement, hope, and faith. if they were to set their goal as "we want to remain level-headed during conflict and learn how to communicate better" this aspect supports that. gemini's ruling planet is mercury (which rules over communication) and libra is the sign of balance. meaning: this aspect indicates accomplishing goals with ease because both have the ability to come together with an intellectual mind (draco) and a level head (harry). also, this relationship is characterised by intense sexual attraction!
harry's gemini venus also trines draco's libra rising, which creates a keen sexual attraction between these two air signs! however, harry's cancer mercury squares draco's libra rising, which creates a lot of miscommunication and misunderstandings. if you apply this to drarry: this can be seen in their hogwarts years being riddled with conflict, but other aspects really boil it down to them deciding to get along, and then working towards that. which in of itself is a huge part of why I, and a lot of others, find drarry to be so compelling! i'm sure (if you're a drarry shipper, which if u follow me I can only assume u are hehee) this is likely a reason you find them to be compelling as well - the power of choice.
the thing is, they both have cancer mercuries. this means that on an intellectual level they can really relate to how the other person thinks, and in turn, communicates. cancer is a water sign, and while water signs tend be extremely emotional, they aren't that outspoken abt it. cancer placements are one of those signs that feel a lot but rarely, if ever, vocalize those feelings. this sets them up to relate to each other on that front and since cancer is a water sign (which makes them highly intuitive people) they both are likely the type to express their emotions without explaining them. harry has more aspects that make him this emotionally driven person without intellectualizing what he feels, however, draco has two mercury-ruled signs (gemini sun, virgo mars) that pushes forward the ability to learn through conflict (virgo mars) and articulate what he's learned (gemini sun). so that creates this dynamic where he has this ability to vocalize certain things that harry will either resonate with or relate to. so, in a way, he has the ability to really understand harry but that also means he can use that information to hurt harry (see: canon). cancer is also a cardinal sign, which means that they are hard headed but can concede and see the other side of things. so this means that they both can see the other's side to any given situation if they are willing.
another interesting thing about draco is he is ruled by mutable signs. his gemini sun and venus, his pisces moon and his virgo mars are all sings that tend to be very agreeable. check out draco's chart analysis to find out more about what that means for draco as a person, however, what that means for drarry is that draco is the one that will undergo a lot more changes and it is a necessity that he does in order for them to have the ability to come together in a loving union. harry is ruled by cardinal signs with only his gemini venus and sag rising being mutable. his leo sun is a fixed sign (meaning: once they decide something they rarely, if ever, change their mind about it) and the rest is ruled by cardinal signs (aries moon, cancer mercury, and libra mars). what this means for harry within the drarry dynamic is that he won't undergo as many changes, and it will take a lot of time for harry to see draco as a changed man. draco is also more likely to be the one to understand that him and harry have conflicting narratives in life, and it's up to harry (with his fixed leo sun) to accept that reality.
what's really interesting tho is that harry's leo sun is compatible with draco's gemini sun and this brings out in each other a very child-like, playful, and fun-loving side. leo Is possessive and wants to be the most important person in their partners life. on that note, people tend to think that leo is egotistical, but you should see how hard leo goes for the ones they love. they will hype! their loved ones! up!! so, where gemini may feel insecure, leo sees this and brings so much love and support to their gemini. on the other hand, where leo may be naïve, gemini's intellectual side will help bring to light a lot of things that will intellectually stimulate leo. esp bc with harry's sag rising, this is an intellectual placement. we see in canon that he is intelligent, but lacks a studious dedication. however, with that sag rising, he loves learning new things (and learning new things will likely be a big part of his healing journey and growth as an individual) and draco is the type of person who will constantly be bringing in new ideas and teaching him new things, which is something that harry will really value in their dynamic. the same reigns true vice versa - harry will have certain areas of expertise outside of draco's realm of knowledge that will also serve to intellectually stimulate him. they also both will enjoy travel and exploring new cultures and ideas (as this is necessary for draco's growth as an individual; see: his chart analysis), and this aspect, in turn, will be what is most likely to bring them together.
draco's gemini sun is also compatible with harry's aries moon - this duo being one of the most iconic couplings in the zodiac. aries is known to be loud, proud, and in your face, but, honesty? aries is a sensitive sign (making harry's aries moon an indicator of someone who is extremely passionate and emotional), and gemini will bring out the fun that aries craves and is likely to understand that aries is a sign that feels so much when under the moon. how does this apply to drarry? draco is likely to understand that harry's impulsiveness is emotionally driven and even provide harry with new perspectives when he gets those impulsive ideas. also, draco has a pisces moon, and that is the last sign of the zodiac. this means that, emotionally, harry is the begging and draco is the end. when pisces and aries come together it is such an unlikely dynamic but a really beautiful one. where aries feels a lot pisces understands a lot. this means that draco will likely understand harry's emotions and where they come from before harry does and will be the person to point certain things out to harry.
