My kid is taking his driving test and I am experiencing so much second-hand nervousness it's ridiculous. He is late to driving... nearly 19, and not well-practiced. Oof!

Well, he failed. They did parallel parking first, and he failed that immediately, so the test ended. Boom. Instant failure.

Hey you guys. Another trip around the sun; I am 49 today! I always thought that was fucking ancient. Shit, I remember when my parents turned 49.

You know what? Besides the few things that an aging body and having 3 kids has done to it, I've got to say, it's a good age. Financially stable, established in career, got most of my shit together. No one is dying right now (and for awhile, someone was, so that's a very good thing). Life is good.
