i love trans headcanons as much as the next guy, but even if he was, he’d call you a slur the second you ask his pronouns

remember he’s from the 1800s, he’d hit you with his cane until your face caved in idk

Thats actually kind of a mischaracterization as well? Not to be biased but I doubt he’d call u a slur. The one time Jekyll uses a slur he’s not even using it to actually insult someone. As Hyde, he still keeps Jekyll mannerisms and attempts to cover up just like he would do so. Why would he start slinging slurs. Or why he’d beat u with a cane for just asking smh. If we’re basing it on his previous victims, the one time someone just asked him smh without proper convo(aka Carew) he just punched her. The best he’d do is punch you or ignore you. His violence is pointless but why would he go overboard for a question(in this case I have to assume punching someone isnt going overboard)

Also he doesn’t rll. Hate crime anyone. The best example of that I can say is his violence against women but I would more so classify it as typical patriarchal bias rather than “wow I HAATE women”

but I feel like a lot of fans of j&h (specifically fans of the *novel*) forget that Jekyll is a 50 year old man from the *1800’s* *London* and grew up in a *wealthy* family.

he would most likely have elitist views of the world and look down on a lot of ‘peasants’.

As nice as it is to think that he would be progressive, he’d have far too much internalized hate to be accepting.

For christ’s sake he made an *entire alter ego* to do drugs/indulge in ‘gluttonous/lustful’ desires

not this post ofc, just in the fandom in general from what I’ve noticed just a side tangent this reminded me of.
