“Obviously my instinct was to pull out my sword, but I didn’t have one, so I thrust out my arm and blasted him again. No magic came out. That electric-green look in his eyes grew brighter. The sheets of ice on his arms and legs began to steam, and the tip of his boot came to rest right under my chin.

“‘You know that you can’t use a magician’s own spells against him, right?’

“That was the only thing he said before he blasted me across the theatre.”

I love this so so so so much! Megumi's expression in both drawings is exactly the fact I expect him to be pulling during every scene of the story. And my goodness Gojo is so much cuter here than he could ever be in my writing or imagination. I'm really glad that you enjoyed the fic so far and i promise that I will be cooking up more very very soon! The whole reason that I started writing it is legitimately because I could not find enough "Gojo is Megumi's dad" content to keep myself full and I had to resort to more drastic measures. Like writing my own fic LOL

i know kyoichi indifference or detachment thing is like his core characterization, but i wonder if he ever picking up takumi strange behavior. like sure ryousuke maybe said about him not able to contact racers but prior to that, takumi called kyoichi like the ass crack of dawn about todo school.

Ooooh this is such a good question. First of all I'm so sorry for how long it's taken me to update, I started GoK before I began university and I just graduated in March but I am beyond blessed that there is still a group of people out there reading my silly car go fast fic LOL so thank you five billion for this precious ask!

You know to be honest something I try to keep in mind when writing this fic is that most of the guys are just that--guys in their early 20s who have defined their entire self worth by how fast their cars go. I think that leaves very little room for genuine self reflection, and even lesser room for the kind of self reflection and analysis that is necessary for someone to realize what kind of situation Takumi is. Kyoichi definitely knows something is wrong. He doesn't know what, and I think if he was told right to his face he would be very confused and wouldn't know how to handle it properly. But there is a sneaking bad feeling, and even though he's trying to ignore it, he's a little too fond of Takumi to throw the feeling away entirely. So we will definitely be seeing more of him ;)

If you have any specific scenes you wanna see with him btw PLEASE feel free to ask! GoK's structure is very loose and mostly supported by short character interactions and scenes so feel free to give me plot bunny ideas. Always happy to see where it goes
