i know kyoichi indifference or detachment thing is like his core characterization, but i wonder if he ever picking up takumi strange behavior. like sure ryousuke maybe said about him not able to contact racers but prior to that, takumi called kyoichi like the ass crack of dawn about todo school.

Ooooh this is such a good question. First of all I'm so sorry for how long it's taken me to update, I started GoK before I began university and I just graduated in March but I am beyond blessed that there is still a group of people out there reading my silly car go fast fic LOL so thank you five billion for this precious ask!
You know to be honest something I try to keep in mind when writing this fic is that most of the guys are just that--guys in their early 20s who have defined their entire self worth by how fast their cars go. I think that leaves very little room for genuine self reflection, and even lesser room for the kind of self reflection and analysis that is necessary for someone to realize what kind of situation Takumi is. Kyoichi definitely knows something is wrong. He doesn't know what, and I think if he was told right to his face he would be very confused and wouldn't know how to handle it properly. But there is a sneaking bad feeling, and even though he's trying to ignore it, he's a little too fond of Takumi to throw the feeling away entirely. So we will definitely be seeing more of him ;)
