Back in September I happened to see a call from @martinalatimer asking for pattern tester and decided to try my luck. It was a pleasure to try out this #joyquilt pattern.i started my fabric selection with the #brandonmably stripes from #kaffefassettcollective which played very nicely with the abstract flame print from #kaufman fabrics, the rest were chosen to complement these 2 and the results is bright and modern, I think. Thanks again, Martina! It was an easy pattern, the size is big though. Enjoy!!

The second quilt I ever made...~ 2004 I think...all Japanese indigo cotton. Each piece cut from a plastic template, and all hand sewn..I did not have a sewing machine yet. Handquilted by @quiltchickira 's quilting elves. I have been telling husband for weeks that I am making a wall hanging so he can driill some hooks on the wall. Well, the hooks are still not in place so he has to hold the quilt instead 😁#applique #treequilt #wallhanging #quiltsofinstagram #quilt good for #xmas #xmassewing as well as all year round. No pattern, everything was done free-hand.

C'est fini. A very large one, needed 3 people to hold it up for photography. #gravityquilt by @jaybirdquilts a bitch to make actually. Many points to match and mostly bias edges. The seams had to be pressed open. Seam ripper was much involved too. Well, I set out to learn new shapes and this has a few -diamonds, hexies, half-hexies, half-triangles etc. #quilttop #patchwork #hexandmoreruler #supersidekickruler I feel like I have achieved next level in my quilting game.

#igquiltfest I always attach #bindings with a sewing machine from the front, and finish with handsewing at the back. For placemat which takes more constant and rugged use, I prefer to attach it on both sides with a machine; not as pretty but more durable.

This is my Favourite Finish for #igquiltfest . Love the essex linen mix that makes it soft and warm, and the Janet E Clare calm graphics. Fell in love with the quilt design in a shop in Bath, the staff kindly scribbled the instructions for me and it was a quick, gratifying sew. In fact, I had enough fabrics from the layer cake to make 2 quilts, and loads of HSTs trimmings saved for future projects.

This is my unfinished, well, barely started quilt of La Passacaglia design. 1. I had inklingo/ inkjet printer issues, and s some stop-start moments. Just can't get into it without feeling tired. 2. More into hexies, paper piecing, sashiko as hand-@ruby7700 projects three days. May abandon ...any way, real sewing for #igquiltfest
