U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg spent her entire life fighting for justice for women, people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, those with disabilities, and those who suffered religious persecution. Her life’s work was dedicated to helping those who need it most.
There are many people on Tumblr expressing their grief, fear, sadness, anger, and pain tonight as we all process her death. Feel whatever you need to feel right now. Let it out. It is healthy. Reach out for a little help if you need it. That’s healthy, too.
And then, when you’re ready, consider making a plan to honor the woman who fought for all of us with civic action. If you have spare time, consider using it to phone bank or text bank for an official who could use the volunteers. If you have spare cash, find a legal aid or bail fund to assist someone who needs it more. If you have the opportunity to help out anyone, seize it. If you’re eligible to vote, please vote. People like RBG are why you have the right to do so.

Two weeks ago today the world lost a great man. Gerson Bakar, 89 passed away, I'm still in shock. Gerson did so much for UCSF, Berkeley and created so many academic opportunities for kids who wouldn't of had such options. Gerson also created an awesome property company and had a staff that adored him, I lucky enough to have worked for his company for 2 years. Of course this was the great man I was named after, I saw him every few years but when I was a kid he always made sure I knew he was thinking about me, even if I didn't see him. Gerson you will be greatly missed and all those you've touched will keep you memory alive!! Rest In Peace
I want one of these shirts for myself so I’m going to make a few if anyone wants to get in on this. Only $15

Memorial Day Weekend 2017 I still can't believe the unofficial start of summer has already passed, I'm low key not ready for summer but so excited for it at the same time. The Sunday before Memorial Day Julie, London and I met up in Manhattan beach for the night. Unfortunately I had to open the next morning so I still wasn't sure if I was gonna stay at the hotel or go home that night. We checkin at the Crimson hotel about a mile from the pier. For $140 a night the hotel was ideal, it wasn't anything fancy but it was nice. Covered free parking, friendly staff, a great pool and the room was simple but not shabby. The hotel included wifi, pool and spa (the spa is heated though dirty and the pool is also heated and was fantastic) for a little get away is was a great hotel. After we hung around the hotel and got cleaned up from lounging around the pool the three of walked around downtown Manhattan beach with two of Julie's friends and grabbed dinner. I really enjoy Manhattan Beach, it reminds me of Newport beach though in LA. If you're ever in downtown Manhattan beach be sure make a trip and a donation to the aquarium at the end of the pier. It's a little run down but is a cool exhibit :)
Hello Summer 2017
Update time :) Happy June ( Pride Month) everybody!! I've been on summer break about two months already (I took an 8 week course this last semester) and summer is slowly reving up now. Maxx graduated from Chapman a couple weeks ago, London for a new job by my house, I'm working more, plus getting back into the gym (slowly but surely). With Maxx moving to LA for his new job later in the summer and London going back to school for more cosmetology certifications this is really our last summer before our careers really kick in #bittersweet I wanna make this most of the summer, explore and just have fun because it looks like it's gonna get much harder in the fall. I should (though am still considering) taking an 8 week summer course, but with family coming in from the east coast and trips I wanna take before maxx starts his new job I'm thinking about just enjoying my summer... London, Julie and I started summer off with a bang and headed to Manhattan Beach for Memorial Day weekend (but of course I had to work so I had to leave early). We really just did the same things we do at home, talk, sit by the pool, go to the beach, eat and have a few drinks but it was nice to be in a new area and explored the town. Look out for that post ;) Keep on the lookout for more updates and follow me on twitter, Instagram and Snapchat @seisedude to keep up with my adventures :) Hope everyone has an awesome summer 2017
The top of my todo list while in NYC was to visit the new World Trade Center Complex. I haven’t been back to NYC since the One World Tower and the 9/11 museum have been completed. I’ve seen the Twin Towers, I’ve visited Ground Zero and I’ve seen OWT being built but it’s always worth the trip. It’s breathtaking and a very somber place. The complex now consists of the two Ground Zero fountains, OWT, the 9/11 museum, the Oculus Mall/transportation hub and a couple other, smaller WTC buildings. The whole complex is bustling with people but it still has and probably will always have an eerie feeling. Being there even after all these years still brought tears to my eyes. 9/11 is something that will haunt American History forever but they’ve done a beautiful job recreating the complex.
~9/11 Museum~
I have been waiting to go to this museum for a while. I will never forget 9/11 and I had no idea how I would feel visiting the museum. You enter above ground then the main part of the museum is all underground and it’s simply breathtaking and very overwhelming. The museum is set up like a maze and takes you through how that tragic day unfolded. You see pictures of the events, items recovered, listen to recordings and so much more then I expected. It’s hard to explain how I felt cause I had so many different emotions. It brought back emotions I had on 9/11 and new emotions just imagining what the people in NYC, the towers and on the planes went though. I’m sure the emotions are different for everyone. One thing I was interested to see how they portrayed those who jumped out of the towers, and I am happy to say they didn’t give any reference to those who made the choice to jump. Jumping from the towers really shows what those people were facing and the tragedy of the situation. I’m really glad they didn’t make us relive that part of the tragic day. There were 2 things that really stuck out to me in the museum. First, a paper found saying, “12 people trapped on level 85, please help;” and the wall where phone calls from that day were written out. The call that sticks out to me most is between a plane passengers and a 911 dispatcher; the passenger is telling the 911 dispatcher that a United flight had been hijacked, and the dispatcher is just in absolute shock. 9/11 changed the world and our country drastically, we must never forget the lives lost and how it brought us together as one nation, under God.
~One World Tower Observatory~
This so far is my favorite part of NYC. It’s view is amazing and I could stare at at it all day. I expected an elevator and then a simple observation deck, but that’s simply not the case. Of course there is a lot of security and they heard you like cattle so you can wander off but the whole process is still amazing. Going through to the observatory elevator they share the biography of the tower and all the struggles that they faced building it. You really feel the excitement and joy of those who worked hard to complete it. The videos they have you watch of the process are quite breathtaking and aw inspiring. No matter what obstacles were met they were determined to recreate the twin towers into one and make it better. Besides the view my favorite parts are what you don’t expect. First, 3 of the walls in the elevator are screens, on the way up to the 100th floor you watch NYC being built and on the way down you’re soaring over current NYC. Second, once you’ve arrived on the 100th floor you watch a 2 min our video that ends in the screens rising opening to a breathtaking view of NYC. Though this view is nothing to the observatory deck. The 360 degree views were amazing and more then I could of expected. You seriously can see forever!
Both the observatory and the museum were amazing and I would definitely recommend them to everyone!!
9/11 is something that must transcend all future generations to make sure a tragedy like that never happens again.
