trying.

DREAM HIGH MUSICAL starring @lgcyumi​

breathe in, breathe out. he paced back and forth backstage. this wasn’t his first opening night, but it was definitely the scariest. his high school theatre was just that, high school. of course, he always wanted to put on a good show. but they were all kids trying their best and his parents were there to pat him on the shoulder when he failed. 

but now? his parents were thousands of miles away and he’d have to go home to his dorm and wallow alone if he didn’t live up to expectations. no matter how much preparation he did, the last month of rehearsals had been nonstop anxiety. he peaked behind the curtain to see the crowd waiting for them. they were paying for this, they had expectations of the entire cast. even though he had a small part, he could feel their eyes looking down on him. please, let him live up to expectations. 

sejin tried breathing deeply but every time he thought of the audience and managers and his future his breath picked up shaky and rapid. backstage was wild with chaos and while he might find a familiar comfort and adrenalin from the hustle and bustle, it was too much right now. he found a small corner with a free chair and sat with his head in his hands trying to gain control of his breaths. he had to be going on soon, his hair and makeup already done. “get it together” he said to himself between breaths.

MINI CONCERT: i could see woobin doing something cute for the performance! ala this wonderful stage if a girlie is interested in doing a duet. OR he’ loves any excuse to whip out the guitar if anyone just wants a boy to play acoustic for them he’s got you covered. CELEBRATION: open all i know he’s probably gonna be an awkward mess with all this lovely-dovey stuff

VERSATILITY WORKSHOP : hair & makeup — starring: @lgcyushin​ 

theatre was his new old goal. he came into legacy with hopes of debuting in a group...but as the new year came and new opportunities reminded him of how much passion he had for theatre. though, he spent a good couple years working on high school productions...he’d always gotten a friend to help him out when he needed makeup. but his friend was holding a hair & makeup workshop, so sejin made his best effort to show up for him!

they'd been sent off to do makeup on themselves with limited resources and sejin was...struggling to say the least. why did he have to naturally gravitate to pink and green for eyeshadow? the tiny compact mirror was not helping him at all. “uhhh y-yushin-hyung?” he called out with an nervous tone as he surveyed the work he’d done on his face thus far. failure wasn’t as much of a worry with his friend as the leader, yushin wouldn’t scold him for not being a master stylist...right? “is this anywhere close to good?” he huffed looking up at him with a defeated look.

GIG OPPORTUNITY | ivy club school uniforms - solo. ( 522 words ) sejin’s favorite shot.

sejin was shocked he would even be considered for such an opportunity, nevertheless actually get chosen. he was just barely out of high school, so at least he knew he could play the part. but gosh he was still nervous. this would be his first big project since joining legacy and while he was very excited to model (something he really started taking a liking to after he started training) he had to hide his shaking hands in the pockets of his khakis. reach into your inner nerd and look happy to be in a uniform again he thought to himself as he was finally called to pose.

he stayed quietly in the background, observing and soaking in as much as he could. he watched the fellow trainees who all seemed much more experienced than him with an observant eye. sejin really wanted to do well. he knew first impressions were vital, especially in an image based industry like modeling. if he performed well now, he knew it could more oppurtunities in the future. modeling (while not his primary focus) interested him a lot. he wouldn’t consider himself vain but he liked the process of setting up a scene, and capturing that perfect moment in time and immortalizing it in film forever. plus getting all dolled up in hair and makeup, with fancy expensive clothes he could never practically afford, all in front of an elaborate set, was fun. modeling was a lot like acting in that way. dressing up to fit the character necessary for the vision of someone else, trying your best to present whatever it is that is needed. 

the setting and being back in uniform made him think back to his time in school. the last couple years of high school was...chaotic to say the least. moving 4,000 miles from home, to a new country with a language he barely knew the basics of—all while starting to train. it was an adjustment. while his friends back home were skipping classes, get accepted to colleges on the mainland, he was up most nights making sure he didn’t switch up his entire life for nothing. he wanted to make the most of this opportunity, training as a whole and the gig he was currently participating in.

sejin face was cool and confident as he posed. he leaned and moved around, experimenting to give them options. he heard that a lot in his acting classes, give them options. he wanted to give a “too cool for school” vibe...that’s what people liked right? the cool confident guy. those were always the people he admired because they were the complete opposite of who he was.

it wasn’t long before he was done and able to look at his shots. he was more proud than he thought he’d be. there were plenty of awkward faces or poses, but as a staff member clicked through his reel, he found a few that he really liked. maybe modeling was a viable career choice after all. he thanked the photographers and all of the staff on set, and left feeling much less nervous than he’d walked in.

hi hi hi legacy! this mono (from @woobinxlgc​) back with another try at a second muse oops this sunday i have this wonderful boy OH SEJIN for you! he’s been at legacy since july 2019 and while he originally joined to be an idol, lately he’s been taking an interest in musical acting. he loves to sing, especially with his trusty ukulele, and would likes to dip his toe into modeling when given the chance! he’s what most would call a soft boy and the physical manifestation of a cloud. you can find out more about him below the cut as well as some quick plots!

a brief look into : SEJIN !

born and raised in honolulu, hawaii. yes he can technically surf but he’s honestly crap at it compared to his family. he preferred collecting seashells on the shore (he has a whole collection and brought a few of his favorites to seoul with him).

he’s always done well in school and actually considered being a mathematician at one point (math is just super fascinating to him, the art of higher level math is just beautiful) but he decided he liked singing much more than calculus!

theatre kid! got really into musicals when he was in high school and his theatre department were begging for boys to join his sophomore year...he had nothing better to do and biology is hard so he joined. this is where he fell in love with singing and stage performances.

started playing ukulele at age fifteen. he’s definitely not the best and is quite inconsistent with his practice but look at it! it’s a little guitar!! how cute!!! he strums on it a lot when he’s bored or homesick.

has always been a big kpop stan (his parents are from korea so he heard a lot about it from his cousins) especially blazing! his not very secret talent is girl group dances. decided to audition for legacy his senior year of high school, because he knew being an idol would be more fun than going to college. however his parents only agreed to let him go all the way to la for the audition if he promised to finish high school while training and got into a university (thank god he got into seoul institute of the arts).

much more of the timid and sensitive breed of shy. he’s not one to start a conversation up with a stranger by himself, but he has a warm disposition.

nintendo stan please let him show you his island it’s so cute and he’s got a bunch of flowers and he finally got the coelacanth statue he’s been trying to get it for ages.

recently has been much more enthusiastic about training and life in general! in high school he always felt like the foreigner but now that he’s in uni doing something he really loves, he finally feels like a real adult and is ready to focus on what he wants.

a few quick plots/thread concepts !

korean teacher/translator! he really struggled with the language & culture when he first got here so anyone that can help him out is very much appreciated and gets all the hugs!

fellow vocalists, especially ballad enthusiasts because they do not get enough love in sejin’s opinion. let’s have a high note competition.

someone get frustrated with him and yell at him make him cry especially if it’s something acting related cause that is something he really wants to do good in!

oh god he is lost again please help him find his way 

study buddies! he’s in university now and has to do well in that if he wants to stay in his parents’ good graces.

you and sejin haven’t ever interacted or really known of each other existence (different focuses/skills, seperate training groups, or just coincidence) but somehow you’ve ended up stuck together for one way or another. this could either go terribly or the both of you have just made a new best friend.
