Miks on köik Buratino laulud sellised bangerid? Salapärane Kapp ja Vötmelaul on minu klassis vahetunni ajal pidevalt tantsulugudeks, Arvutihullu Laul on väga hea vönkumiseks, Malvina ja Pierrot hingeline duett on vöitnud mu südame, Papa Carlo laul on lihtsalt kaunis ja nutma ajav kui ma aus olen. Weird ass screenshots from the Death Note serever.
Ok, so we were roleplaying and A was trying to convince Light that he was a Kira supporter and wanted to help Kira and this is what Light thought of his ass.
I'm sorry but I have to add this
Fun facts about the first day of school in Estonia:
it is a formal day - students wear black&white clothing, boys wear suits or at least dress shirts and dress pants
most schools in Estonia have opening ceremonies
first-graders get their very own ABC-books
1st of September is Day of Knowledge in Estonia and is flag day in the country
police officers teach new students how to walk across zebra crossings near schools
students bring flowers and gifts to their homeroom teacher (and sometimes their other favourite teachers)
many families celebrate the beginning of school by inviting family around, and eating cake - especially so if the student is starting important grades - 1,9 and 12.
For a franchise that builds itself so heavily around the image of an intellectual story, Death Note sure has an impressive amount of officially released media that is just complete and utter nonsense - and it’s amazing.

this is a genuine question, im not being salty, im just confused
i got a paper cheque in the mail from the state of nebraska, for a whole nineteen dollars
..what do i do with it
like
can i take it to swedbank? will they know what to do with it? did anyone work for transferwise in the past who knows if you can put a paper cheque in your tw account?
for now its just on my fridge under a magnet that says “i love vodka”
i have taken my cheque to three banks!
so far the answers:
“what is this”
“ive never seen one of these before”
“i dont think theres anywhere in estonia you can do this”
“yeah maybe they can help you in… germany?”
“you should have come here twenty years ago haha”
“we dont have telegraph poles either”
Update:
“I think my mom got a check cashed at the post office once?”
I’m not going to the post so some boomer can laugh at me
When a 60 year old bank teller tells you that your technology is out of date it hurts ok
Why Molly is having so much trouble with the cheque is that in Estonia, the restoration of independence happened around the same time banking moved to internet, therefore the country saw it fit not to focus on cheques. While they were accepted (widely-ish) up until 2016, from data it is clear it has never been the popular option - in the last year just one singular cheque was cashed in.
Molly’s cheque was probably the first and quite possibly last cheque many tellers saw in their career. (She became urban legend probably)
tl;dr Estonian banking jumped to internet bank transfers in the 90′s having missed essentially 50 years of banking and thus cheques are just something in the US tv shows and movies for Estonians
The two types of fantasy writers
1. Feverishly calculating the body mass of your dragon species, spent 5 hours last night researching the origins of steel, losing sleep over horseshoes, 20 tabs open, should a cockatrice be warm-blooded?, will die if they don’t immediately figure out when honeybees were first domesticated
2.
Yesterday there was a peaceful protest in my district which we call "The Solidarity's Chain" (Cep' Solidarnosty/Цепь Солидарности).
There were a lot of people with white-red-white flag and "Chase" (Pogonya/Погоня) emblem, flowers (the most of them were white and red), children and their pets. Drivers were supporting us with car horn, gave us water, food, sweets and flowers. Even! a !little! boy gave us some water!
The Solidarity's Chain protests have started after Viktor Babariko's arrest. But after August 8th Belarusian forgot about this type of protest.
The Chain was "reborn" after third night of police brutality in our country. Women came out in the one of the most popular place of Minsk in white dresses with flowers. They were protesting against police violence and brutality. After that since August 12th everyone standing in their districts near road in the Solidarity's Chain protesting against violence, brutality and dictatorship.
Also the Solidarity's Chain gather together not only in the capital. All city and towns in Belarus chant that "flowers better than bullets" (цветы лучше пуль).
Whats happening in Belarus is extremely terrifying. I don't think people fully understand this. Humans rights go out the window.
Lukashenko has been in power for 20+ years which means he has had enough time to put his people in every part of state. He is believed to have rigged all elections except the first one he won. He stopped THREE people from registering as candidates for this election, and this by arresting them or driving them out of the country. Tsikhanouskaya's husband is one of them and he's been framed and in prison for months. She had to move her children out of the country for safety, she went into hiding a few days before the election in fear some individuals were monitoring her apartament. Multiple people from her campaign management have been arrested, some also released.
Come election day and the results were out of this world, obviously faked. People are so sick of it that they posted the actual results from polling stations (brave people and workers, mind you, they risked their job and lifes!). People created ways prior to the election so that it would be transparent how they voted (folding the voting papers into 5-6 times, using an app to take pictures of their bulletin). Incredible organization. Yet, their leader was detained the next day, presumably held hostage (maybe also being threatened with her kids safety and husbands life) for a few hours to read some piece of paper calling an end to the protests while also calling for people to accept the results. She has escaped since then and is now in Lithuania.
Protests started peacefully! But the actual army men were called in! To what! To attack citizens and pull them into black vans! 7k people have been arrested the last few days, at least two people died. One was run over by a truck! Multiple injured. Kids, teenagers, adults. Police didn't care who was in front of them.
Their internet was cut off, means of communications completely halted. In 2020 Europe. Videos have come up with protesters arrested and beaten being held up along a wall like they were some kind of criminals, these were published on NATIONAL TELEVISION to induce fear in people to stop protests. Lukashenko is fighting with full force in fear of losing power.
People are still protesting. Some policemen have been removing their uniforms and throwing them into the trash.
Please look over what is happening. Its terrifying. You might think how can this be possible, its so obvious what is happening, why aren't there people doing smt, but a dictator controls all parts of state. He is the state. There needs to be extreme external and internal pressure for him to even think of standing down. Extreme: companies, the EU, the US, most international partners.
Belarus. You can do this. Stay strong.
