The TikTok-fication of Tumblr and why it needs to stop before your fave writers are gone for good:

1. “Part 2??”

Unlike TikTok, writing 5,000 words for a fic does not happen in 6 seconds or more. Weekly updates are from a writer who spoils you and is passionate about their story. Don’t kill the passion by demanding for more and not appreciate what’s already given.

2. The DC Conundrum

Many writers on this platform hail back from the ff.net days where dark content is a norm, not like TikTok where even death has to be censored or you could get flagged.

Despite that, writers are doing you a service by sharing fic warnings despite how it may take away from a plot twist or a big reveal. However, there’s a fine line between sharing warnings and downright spoiling our own work. Heed the warnings, don’t be a dick. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Learn how to filter your own content, too, while you're at it.

3. The Wild Algorithm

Unlike TikTok, Tumblr’s FYP is not in your face and you have a choice to not view it. Content often gets buried a few days after it’s posted without reblogs or comments to keep it alive.

4. Passive Content Consumption

Ties back with point #1. If you’re only sitting back and reading works without supporting the writers, they can’t spend 6 seconds to conjure up a fic. Writing takes time, editing, proofreading. Tumblr is a book club, not a delivery service.

5. De(constructive) Criticism

If an opinion isn’t asked for, don’t give it. Many writers choose this craft for their own enjoyment and to share a thought or story about a beloved character to those who love them, too. If an opinion is asked? Be kind when you share it across to them. No one likes their hard work to be shat on by someone who doesn’t understand the time and effort it took to create this piece.

6. Are You My Content Machine?

Again, back to point #1. Writers have busy lives. There are days when we want to scream into the void about our favourite characters. We want to share our thoughts about them or sometimes, we just want to talk about what happened during lunch break. Demanding and expecting that a writer post content without giving a shit about the soul behind the screen? Dehumanizing.

Don’t ruin the experience for those of us who are still here. Do your part to make fandom better for everyone.

Dumb Nightmare headcanons, let's go

After including Crow Dad into my RP asks for a while (+ also using him for a few private role plays with some friends) I gotta admit that this guy is srsly sooo entertaining to play as.. Especially because he's so much different compared to my Trashbag Ripper, but that's clearly a positive thing that I like about him & the way how I portray his attitude.

Anyway.. I dunno how I actually came up with these headcanons out of the blue but aye, I've always been a random jackass, so enjoy the stuff I came up with because I have no life ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

He clearly has "birb tendencies" and he can't help it.

Can you imagine him bathing or taking a shower like birds do..?

Ngl, alone the imagination of him causing a total mess in the bathroom by splashing the water around is absolutely priceless to me 😂👌🏻

He's also nesting. More or less.. He tends to mess up his bed with a bunch of sheets and pillows in order to make it more "comfortable" and warm (at least to his standards)

Some parts of his body are covered in feathers and he can puff them up like typical birds. He also HAS a small crow tail.. Any other arguments are immaterial, m'kay?

Takes care of every single one of his crows + is for sure very creative by naming them (probably just like me with my Pokémon #kappa)

Dude is totally into calligraphy and other writing stuff

He clearly enjoys writing in his free time (whenever he's not mixing drugs or whatever the hell he's doing with all of these potions) No matter if it's writing letters, stories, random notes, grocery lists and other.. He simply likes it. Probably not only as a hobby but also as a form of stress relief.

So Joseph’s apparently getting a ONCE skin because he needed another skin this year. And given how Andrew and Jack’s ONCE skins are, it seems for this skin line the idea is “Whatever bad thing led them to the manor never happened”.

Which makes me both eager and afraid to see what Joseph’s will be. Will it be that Claude never died, or that he never got the tomes that led him to trapping people in photos?

i could be wrong, but…i thought the once skins were characters before they came to the manor? also, im a dumbass and aware of it but i can’t see any items related to joseph- i see a fan for geisha, a skull for ench, possibly a makeup case for embalmer, and a violin for antonio, but i can’t tell which character the other items are supposed to represent

Yeah I thought that too, but then for Andrew’s it says he was accepted by a sanctuary and would be buried  there. Which…he kind of wasn’t, if I interpreted his deductions right; he was used as a grave keeper but his burial was still on the fence when he got caught for body snatching.

Though this is Identity V, and deductions are vague as fuck. But if Epitaph was Andrew before he started body snatching, I have to ask what made him ditch the one he made. What made him abandon his hope of being buried in the sanctuary, and drove him to body snatching?

Also

You can see a camera lens in that bouquet. It’s sneaky, but there. Whatever his ONCE skin will be, it’s got flowers.

The other reason I question the ONCE skins being before the manor is that Joseph already technically has that. If you read the description for his Count skin, it’s pretty clear that’s about what he looked like before he came to the manor. Likely black for mourning Claude still. Unless one of them comes before the other, it doesn’t make much sense to me.

Well.. There's actually so much they could add in the game. Like LEGIT so. damn. much..

They could add literally anything like (again) new skins like they always do, generally new pets (no matter how dumb they look) like imagine a small trashcan following you around, which I'd DEFINITELY buy because I'm still trash and this game is my junkyard, lol or frickin' water guns so you can piss Hunters or your Teammates off by squirting water at them, same with eventually carrying around banana peels like a Donkey Kong & making other people slip on them (which immediately leads to a terror shock OF COURSE or a damn 10 second stun for Hunters) ☝🏻

Long story short: We don't know what they're going to do. Eventually they add something cool or they add something cringy but after all it's Netease's decision, so we sadly don't have any influence on that.
