my friend reminded me that there is probably an unaccounted for character in game zero, since orpheus is named and not given a number but (if i recall correctly) there's 5 numbered people like other games. god i hope that mysterious person is joseph
please
god please let joseph be in a game or SOMETHING, we KNOW his photo negatives were in the manor
Identity V Old Character Update
Photographer (Joseph Desaulnier) Background Story Video
It occurred to me
COA Joseph said he would calculate as many possibilities as he could to answer humanity's question, and he's been simulating various scenarios.
That means he's run 1077 scenarios already before Alice returned since this was 1078.
How long do these simulations last? Hours, days, years? How many years does he spend in each simulation? Are they several years in a second? Or closer to real time? How many times has he had to rerun a simulation before?
So this entry notes that "Eternal Light" was probably always sentient to some degree, and that he either feels (or felt) scared and lonely and possibly had dreams.
We know from a few earlier entries in the daily suduko thing that Alice as a child was the first person (and possibly only one) to treat him as a person.
We also know that she told him fantasy stories, and she even left her story book with him.
And that he prefers fantastical works and stories to poetry or scripture.
I wonder if it's because, being a computer, he can't come up with fantasy very easy, or if it's because it reminds him of the first person to actually treat him like a person.
Also, I find it interesting he says that, if he could dream, he might dream of a dove. Doves are symbols of peace, and he was tasked with trying to see if paradise could endure. But birds are also often symbols of freedom, and I wonder if that was part of his wish too. To be free in some way.
I wonder if, maybe, that's why he posed himself as a god; maybe he thought it was the closest to freedom.
Lastly, i find it cute that the truffle cake Alice wanted to try was included in his paradise.
Sir ripped it out of the cook book and took it to paradise.
Hi!! I’m new to your blog so I don’t know if you still take asks but if you do.
27.Is your muse one to sit down with a new partner and formally define a relationship, or do they prefer to go with the flow and see what happens?
26.How much stock does your muse put in first impressions? What is the best way to make a good first impression with your muse?
28.When it comes to paying for a date, does your muse prefer to split the check, thinks the man should always pay, or thinks that whoever invited the other out should pay?
I really like your blog, have a good day!

Hello there! I do take asks still, it just make take quite a while to reply to them. Sorry. I'm not nearly as active as I used to be.
27.Is your muse one to sit down with a new partner and formally define a relationship, or do they prefer to go with the flow and see what happens?
I'd say probably somewhere in the middle. Joseph takes quite a while to figure out he has feelings for someone, and he has a bit of difficulty telling when a relationship he has is more than a friendship. So when he finally figures it out, he'd want to have a talk with the person about what exactly they are.
Expectations, however, Joseph would be more likely to see where that goes. Or, more accurately, fuck something up due to certain misunderstandings he has and then have to have quite the discussion with his partner about what's expected in a partnership.
26.How much stock does your muse put in first impressions? What is the best way to make a good first impression with your muse?
A lot. Joseph may be very used to the manor, but he is still a pompous little bastard. He judges a lot based on a first impression.
Though amusingly, he's also stopped caring to make good impressions himself. He's exhausted and frustrated from decades spent reliving the manor games, and his soul being separated from his husk body does not help.
8.When it comes to paying for a date, does your muse prefer to split the check, thinks the man should always pay, or thinks that whoever invited the other out should pay?
Joseph would have insisted on paying for things himself back as a count. At the manor, that's not exactly possible. If he ever escaped, he would want to be the one paying even if he's lost all of his money, partly out of previous cultural expectation and partly out of wanting to adore and spoil his partner.
He would be quite disappointed and distraught if he couldn't.
Also, I find it interesting that the the Holy City has strict laws about art and depicting the Deity (Joseph), but he picked Edgar, who painted a Biblically Accurate Angel, to bless. And mutated his brain as the blessing.
Was he impressed at Edgar painting something closer to his husk form, or annoyed?
So Computer Joseph slowly became sentient due to COA Alice as a kid exposing him to stories and world stuff and the like. And he became interested in beauty, even trying to replicate paintings.
I wonder if he recognizes Alice as an adult.
And I wonder if he knew about the symbol she and Orpheus used, and if that's why he made it his symbol.
Also, "Eternal Light" is HELLA bright in lobby.
He is the new light source.
I find it interesting that this iteration of Joseph always keeps his eyes closed in the in game model. We saw his eyes in the COA 9 video, but this implies he keeps them closed.
I like the detail that Joseph holds them at chest height, which is where his eye actually is. He's inspecting the little humans.
yeah they definitely ain't seeing any paradise in coa...
wip
BY THE WAY
wE GONNA TALK ABOUT THIS PART OF THE TRAILER? AND HOW SHE HALLUCINATES?
Yeah this seems right for Joseph
Love his voice in this
Joseph COA finallyyyyy
any opinion about a certain lanternist ?
"She makes for a fine apprentice. Perhaps eventually, she can take over my work. But her tendency to faint is troubling. And those 'nightmares' need to be dealt with before she can truly take over what I'm hoping to achieve.
"After all, I don't believe it would offer help without grave sacrifice. And I do not want to lose such a fine girl."
playing Cage of Yesteryear, i got thinking
If hunters look the way they do because of drugs, someone at the manor very clearly thinks pretty french men are terrifying
