A Selena fan page: Preserving memories, one photo at a time. Here, you will find mostly photos of Selena Quintanilla-Perez that I have cleaned up, upscaled, etc. so that they are preserved online as our devices become even more high-definition. As a 3D and VFX student at the Academy of Art University, I love playing with new technology in my free time. New tech that not only helps to restore old photos and videos but also preserves them, if not upscale them if possible. I truly respect the Quintanilla family and what they have done to keep Selena's legacy going. I also recognize a need to preserve the images that can be preserved in order for Selena fans to be able to enjoy them for years to come. This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the "Amor Prohibido" album!

I hope that you guys like my upscale. There was some noise reduction involved as well as some color correction and then a 2x linear upscale and a little bit of Photoshop magic. I really wanted to do the other one where Selena's hand is raised, but I have to find one that is in a somewhat decent size and quality to begin with.

Just a heads up, guys... Target has OFFICIAL Selena shirts!!!! Official as in they are licensed by the Quintanilla family! Make sure that you check availability on Target.com before you roll over there. This was the last one at my location! :)

This photo of Selena was taken on March 27th, 1989 for a story published on April 9th that covered her wins at the Tejano Music Awards, as well as her signing her recording contract with EMI Latin!

**NOTE:

I colorized this photo from a black-in-white image, then manually removed certain specs of dust that remained using a Huion drawing monitor, and finally, I did a two-pass upscale. I think it came out pretty good :)
