Descolonizar -- Decolonize

Francia Marquez Mina is a enviromental social leader, lawyer, human rights advocate and currently candidate of the vice-presidency of Colombia in 2022. A remarkable woman that has risen from her little town Suárez, Cauca to the capital of the nation, tired of the violence that it's been suffocating people for decades. Next Sunday we'll be electing the next President of the Republic, and this is my tribute to Francia's fight for using her experiences, her voice and her own life in order to protect and speak out about the violations caused by the far-right wing that's been ruling the country for more than 100 years.

Now more than ever before we are very close to elect a progressive and leftist president Gustavo Petro, who has also expose the abuses of the same government during his political career and who also know the peoples' suffering who calls for change and love.

Even though I don't have a positive view of humans in general, I'm hopeful, I believe in starting a different path to reach a common goal, and this goal is about human rights, dignity and create a different future where we all fit in.

Two days ago was my 27th birthday and all I can say is that I've been drawing, learning and practicing my drawing everyday. It's not been easy to live as a freelance artist but I think I'm seeing some results of the hard work. Who else is having a hard time?
