So the competition theme right now is “Miraland Wedding” and instead of putting effort into making a wedding outfit entry for the 500th time I started thinking about actual Miraland weddings
You propose with clothes, obviously. It’s like those daily login suits where every day you get a free item. Every day your sweetie gives you earrings or a pair of socks or a bag and the items keep getting bigger and bigger and you tell your friends “I think this might be it? I think she might be about to propose?? This is the fifth day in a row she’s given me a gift but she gives me stuff all the time I just don’t know” and your friend’s like “omg no these are definitely part of a matching set she’s gonna propose for sure.” And on the last day you get a big fancy dress/shirt+pants/whatever and the big question
(Rich people probably go way overboard with this. Like, don’t even bother proposing to me with a suit that has less than fifty pieces, Brad, we’re not peasants. Hayleigh’s proposal lasted two months, and if I have to deal with her gloating on Mirastagram any longer, I will just scream.)
Probably styling competitions for all wedding-related jobs? The florist is chosen through a floral-themed styling battle, the cook is the best at sweet and cute bakery style, etc.
DRAMA over the wedding theme. The bride’s family is stiff and snobby and won’t consider anything but elegant and pure Lilith style. The groom’s family insists on mature and sexy Pigeon style. The couple just wants a cute and simple wedding where they just enjoy their special day with friends. One of the bridesmaids can only do cool and lively Ruin style. The best man is one of those scandalous rebel types who actually (oh it’s too horrible) thinks there are more things in life than styling! (*gasps, clutches pearls*) and is a great gardener but never bothered to learn how to style any sort of fashion.
“Speak now or forever hold your peace”? No, it’s “challenge someone to a styling battle now or forever hold your peace.” Miraland soap operas are full of people issuing dramatic challenges at the altar.
Villain: *bursts into church* No! I will never let you have her! I challenge you for her hand!
Hero: I can win any styling battle with the strength of my love!
Villain, sneering: You want to battle for the sake of true love? Then beat me at a lolita army themed outfit!
Hero: gasp! my two weakest styles!
Heroine: *throws off dress to reveal vacuum-packed bags of clothes hidden beneath hoop skirt* then I will battle myself for the right to marry who I wish!
Even without last-minute altar battles, people are probably challenging each other to styling competitions left and right, simply because there are so many people, emotions are heightened, people are mingling with strangers and/or extended family members they don’t get along with, etc. Weddings venues will have little rooms or spaces set aside just so people aren’t fashion dueling in the aisle
tldr: miraland weddings would be utter dramatic fashion chaos and I can’t stop giggling over it
