“We would be together and have our books and at night be warm in bed together with the windows open and the stars bright.” ― Ernest Hemingway, A Moveable Feast.
I dug my old computer out of the closet this morning. It’s nearly ten years old and filled with old photos that I used to post to this blog. I’ve mentioned before that it’s strange signing back on after not really being active for so long. I only have a few mutuals left that are still at it. I think I keep coming back because Tumblr was so integral to my development for a while. It saw me overcome depression, push through my father’s death, recover from a near fatal accident, and so much more. I’m using the same old computer to post this and take a picture similar to what I would have posted when Tumblr was a larger part of my life. I’ll be gone but I won’t be far.
It's hard, ya know? Really hard. I've been drinking and thinking. Was it real?
I don’t know how old this message is. I’m sorry for the late response. I think, for the time, it was very real.
Downloaded Tumblr to say my heart hurts.
“Some people hate the thought of being alone. I’m not like that. I love my solitude. I’m kind to myself. My feelings don’t get hurt. My energy’s not leeched. And it’s very peaceful.”
