Blue Side

Looking back at these animations I thought they looked bad; they looked like absolute garbage that shouldnât have seen the surface of the earth. However, I canât forget where I even got the inspiration to make these in the first place.
It was in the first year of highschool and we had a big project coming up and I had no idea what to make. Deciding was hard and i felt very unmotivated to do anything at all; I wouldnât draw, I wouldnât take photos or even film anything- hell, breathing was a chore at this point. Nothing felt interesting and all I wanted to do was to look up at the sky and listen to music- and did. The day I watched the stars and dark clouds pass by I heard different melodies enter my ears, everything from jazz to rock and metal to lo-fi. I couldnât decide how i felt until i stumbled upon a rather short, yet comforting song.Â
Blue Side.
It was like, a little hug was given to me when i sat there in the cold. It was so gentle and kind, yet sad. I then knew what i was going to do for the project.Â
That is how I came up with these little animations. Though they arenât finished or in the least done or refined- I find them nice to look at even today despite the fact that i hated them when I first created these animations.Â

So, what do you think? Do you have any songs that has helped you feel even a little bit more alive when all spirits where gone? Tell me about it.
