Guys, call me crazy, but what if I made an au about metal Sonic.

Like what if one day sonic gets his personality and thought patterns copied and implanted into metal sonic. So now metal sonic is under the impression he was sonic who was injured and saved by getting his life implanted into a robot, like Eggman was his savior.

And metal thinks og sonic is just a robotic clone who stole his entire look and replaced him by injuring him to the point of needing to be placed into a robot.

metal sonic teams up with Eggman like sonic does in some movies and tv shows or games just so he can save his friends from this imposter.

I was thinking if that would make a good au idea? Comment if you think it needs some tweaks.
