The Last Thought.

The painting made for @hashimada and inspired by his text, so full of emotions: “He’s feeling empty and powerless, like standing on the edge of a cliff and wanting to jump off but not yet having the guts to finally do it. His long chased dream is no more, all hope for a future without pain and war is gone. And he has lost everything he had been planning for decades in just one single night by being defeated by a group of not yet grown up shinobi from Konoha. What a disgrace. Madara pictures himself standing on top of the mountain where one day the faces of the future hokage are going to be carved into. He remembers standing there once together with Hashirama, having the shared desire to build a village where children can grow up without having to fight. Back then he was hoping to be able to create something by cooperating with another person, not having to shoulder everything on his own. He had been so wrong … Madara can almost feel the warm breeze on his skin, smell the green leaves floating through the wind and hear the crunching of the light sand under his feet. And yet he’s feeling like being torn apart, his body is just worn out. There are too many broken bones inside him and he can even taste blood on his tongue … his eyes are blind and hurt, can no longer perceive the world around him. Taking a breath hurts so much, he can feel his lungs filling with blood every time he has to breath. Does it end now? Does it end for good or is there really another side waiting for him?”

If you ever stumble across a wild Hashirama; hug him.

And this is why Madara refuses to be around Tobirama when he’s working on Jutsus.
