One of the biggest things to change my perspective when making art is that I’ll never be the best, there is ALWAYS going to be someone with more skill, more time, more training than you.

You need to just look at what you make and love it. That’s the only point. I look at others art now without this perspective and just look at the beauty and emotion they put into their pieces. The individual brush strokes. The stippling. The little details that made their story be a part of that arts.

It’s made me a happier person and I enjoy so much more now because I’m not in a competition I created in my own head anymore. I just appreciate what everyone can do. There’s so much beauty out there being created everyday it’s amazing to just see and experience it with others loving the same things you do.
