I really liked that this season pushed back hard on the 'not like other girls' trope, both in this scene as well as with Eloise. The pushback she got from Hyacinth (poor baby Hyacinth) was sadly, well deserved.

i really have to laugh at the time honored tradition of the men in bridgerton saying or doing things that are completely stupid. simon saying he won't marry daphne and was gonna let anthony shoot him. anthony almost marrying edwina. colin saying he'd never court penelope. and hot off the press here comes benedict asking sophie to be his mistress. IDIOTS!!!!! ALL OF THEM!!!!!!
