you aren’t worthless
you’re worth more than you think you are
you mean a lot to someone
you’ve done something to make someone laugh or smile
you’ve laughed and smiled
you’re good enough
you deserve to be happy
you’re allowed to be sad
you’re you and nothing can change that
and there’s no one else you need to be
it’s never too late. go after what you want! it doesn’t matter if you’re 15 or 25 or 65. there’s no deadline or fixed schedule you need to follow. starting over or starting late is okay! go at your own pace!
if you could only eat one meal today, I’m still really proud of you. you did what you could and it will eventually get easier. i know how difficult it can be, so thank you for giving your body nourishment. don’t beat yourself up and take your time.
put your emotional, physical, and mental health first, besties. prioritize the things that you want. do what makes you happy, and keep people around you who encourage that. you deserve to have the same support and reassurance you give to other people.
in case no one has told you today - you matter and you make the world better by being in it.

stop second guessing your own feelings. someone hurt you. it’s okay to feel that and acknowledge it. don’t let people make you question that. you’re allowed to be hurt.

learn to forgive yourself. for not starting sooner, for your flaws, for your past mistakes. we all grow as people, and we shouldn’t be defined by our past, but by what we learn from it.
forgiveness is not the only way to heal. you can be angry forever and still move on and live a happy, fulfilling life. the people who deliberately harmed you don’t deserve your forgiveness. the fact that you are continuing on despite the trauma others have put you through is remarkable and you should be proud. you owe it to yourself to keep going, you don’t owe your abusers shit.
Stop being so afraid to be confident. There’s actually a lot of great things about you. Don’t deny those things, embrace them. You’re beautiful and smart and kind and you need to stop punishing yourself for acknowledging it and trying to believe it.

a gentle reminder that you did well this year. you met new people, learned new things and felt new feelings. you did so many things that made you scared. you picked yourself up off the floor after feeling completely defeated or heartbroken. there were some really tough nights but you survived them all. you made people happy just by existing. you accepted many goodbyes but the serendipitous meetings made up for them. it was your own hard work that paid off but you always downplay it or compare yourself to others. that’s not fair on yourself. you’ve come so far from the first day of this year. you have more wisdom and strength now. yes, other people seem more “successful” but does that even matter? please don’t think so lowly of yourself to only think about your failures. 2018 was your year of growth. I hope you take a moment to be kind to yourself, and believe that 2019 will be even better.
no shame in doing the same thing over and over if it makes you happy! go and read that book again, listen to that song for the 10000th time, watch that movie over and over. it’s your life babey!
