The sapling perks up, excited to hear someone else who speaks Groot. He’s been warned against speaking to strangers, but if they speak Groot they’re not that strange, are they? 

“I am Groot!” he replies, nodding his little head and smiling up at the stranger.

Hi! You speak Groot! Where did you learn Groot? Do you know lots of other languages, too?

A little update

I’ve been working on a personal project as of late, and I’ve been pouring all my creativity into that. (I’ll post more about it when the project is live!) But I am slowly trying to come back to all my blogs. Groot is still here. I still very much love this little tree and intend to come back to his blog. I’ve just been trying to get my main blogs up and running first.

Hey guys. I’m slowly trying to come back. I’ll post some memes and such later today, but until then, consider this a starter call.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with muse lately. And although I do really want to come back, tumblr is really hard for me right now. So I’m going to take a break. I’ll try to be back at the end of this month. If anyone wants to stay in touch or wants keep writing with me while I’m gone, I’ll be available on skype and discord, as both of those are easier for me to keep a muse going on right now. “I am Groot!”

The sapling yells to make himself known. To get attention and ask to be picked up, before he decides that the few seconds it takes is too long. He grabs at Yondu’s pants, little hands holding tight as he starts to try to climb up his adopted grandfather.

This planet is beautiful. All flowers and trees, and were Groot older he might appreciate the beauty. As it is, he just gets lost in it. A sapling does not fully appreciate the beauty of other plants the way a full-grown tree does. What Groot is looking for is insects. Things to chase and terrorize, and when he gets bored with that, to eat. He’s not finding any of those, though. The only livings seem to be back where the rest of his family is, so giving up his hunt for bugs, he turns around and makes his way back. 

Stairs can be carefully climbed, but big heavy doors are an obstacle he doesn’t have an easy way of overcoming. But it appears he’s not the only one who decided to come outside. If Peter trusts him, he can trust him as well, can’t he? So the little tree walks over and holds his arms up to be lifted.

“I am Groot!”  ‘Hey! Hey, up! Pick me up!’

Because of the massive influx of personal blogs, I just want to post a reminder. Don’t reblog my roleplay stuff. I’ll let you stay and like stuff if you enjoy it, but if you reblog any of my threads I will block you. That kind of thing messes up the notes for a thread and gets very frustrating.

I’m still here! This blog got an influx of followers really quickly and my activity got all screwed up. It was really intimidating and I had to retreat for a bit to collect myself and try to figure out how to proceed. But I’m still here! I’m not leaving Groot, I promise. I’m just going to be slow.
