wanda does not consider herself cultured. she never read much – there always seemed to be something more pressing, like figuring out her next meal, another protest, another injustice to address, and it left her without much of an interest in reading for the sake of reading. she likes movies, but they too, seem mostly frivolous, and when she had the time for them, she’d much rather sleep. she has seen most of eastern europe, a few parts of the united states and pieces of countries here and there on missions, but that also didn’t leave much time for sight-seeing. earth experiences: solidly below average.
space experiences: much above average, for someone like her. she’s seen asgard, walked across the bifrost. she has visited xandar, seen quite some minor planets. yet even if she read all the books of earth and space, she’d still be at a loss to describe this.
it's without a doubt one of the most fantastically beautiful landscapes she’s ever seen. she stares out of the windows of her small spacecraft during its controlled descent; she has a little more dignity than touching her nose to the window, but she’s close. the journey here was much longer than she was used to by now, but even if she left empty-handed, seeing this alone would have been worth it.
still, it’d be preferable to succeed.
the landing is a gentle affair. the planet looks deserted, but there’s enough room by the twisting buildings to set down spaceships, even if there are no others currently docked. she leaves the engine idling as she walks out – she has had to make hasty retreats more than once, and she did come unannounced, but she’s otherwise fairly relaxed as she stretches out, breathing in the air (even that smells nice.) she waits by the landing pad – best see first if her arrival has been noticed, before she goes knocking doors.
