I’m so happy to be born in the time period that I was born in.
“Sometimes, a person with ADHD can hit the do-or-die deadline and produce lots of high-quality work in a short time. A whole semester of study is crammed into a single night of hyperfocused perfection. Some people with ADHD create crises to generate the adrenaline to get them engaged and functional. The “masters of disasters” handle high-intensity crises with ease, only to fall apart when things become routine again. Lurching from crisis to crisis, however, is a tough way to live life. Occasionally, I run across people who use anger to get the adrenaline rush they need to get engaged and be productive. They resurrect resentments or slights, from years before, to motivate themselves. The price they pay for their productivity is so high that they may be seen as having personality disorders.”

We have to step back from ourselves and focus on God again.

Rlly don't get Catholicism bc the church is all don't do this don't do that hate this person hate that person but then I look at the bible and Jesus is like do what u want as long as u love everyone like?? Idk who tf the catholic church's bible interpreter is but I'm gna go w Jesus' thing
I’m sorry if the people at your church made you feel as if you had to hate people; that’s screwed up, and that shouldn’t have ever been the case. But Jesus never said do what you want as long as you loved everyone. Jesus tells us to do good and to avoid evil; He forgives sinners, but tells them to sin no more. He tells them it would be better to cut off their own hands or pluck out their own eyes than to continue to live in sin. There’s so much good in the world, so much to enjoy and experience, and God wants us to experience that. He made it for us, after all. But Christ doesn’t want us doing simply whatever. People don’t get crucified for saying “Do whatever you want, just be nice.”
I encourage OP to speak with Catholics instead of generalizing like this. The unbiblical and sinful hate you described is found in multiple Protestant churches too, and some people like me have been hurt by them but found healing, grace, and forgiveness in Christ to the fullest through the Catholic faith.
Jesus said “don’t do this or that” too, because He offered humanity something so much better than the sins the New Testament warns against. And that’s what our doctrine is based on.
