On the 19th and 20th of November I had the great pleasure of showing my project Sentiment at the Digital Design Weekend in Jakarta, Indonesia.
As part of the Digital Design Weekend, Diane Wiltshire, a fellow at Birmingham Open Media (BOM), showcased her interactive art experience 'Sentiment', a special vest that you wear along with noise-cancelling headphones. As you listen to real life stories, you are also able to feel the emotions of those people speaking by the vibrations touching your skin through the vest.
Thanks to everyone involved in getting Sentiment to Indonesia for the Digital Design Weekend.

BOM (Birmingham Open Media) is a new space for art, technology and science.
Very pleased to say I will be a fellow at BOM throughout 2016.
Thanks to Omar at BOM (Birmingham Open Media) for creating this video of ‘Sentiment’
Sentiment will be shown at BOM till 7th February.
BOM (Birmingham Open Media) is a new space for art, technology and science.
Sentiment can be described as a multi-modal experience, comprising off rich dynamic audio from multiple speakers with related bio data delivered through a wearable haptic interface.
In 2013 Sentiment Gathering Art researched through participant conversations while gathering their related bio data, which was then translated into a wearable device with haptic feedback. 50 participants were asked 40 questions about life. There are seven speakers positioned in a circle, sometimes all jostling for your attention, other times a dominant voice with interjections. The end user can move freely round the space, choosing whom ever they want to listen to and feeling their response.
Open Tuesday - Saturday till 7th Feb, 2016
