I think most of us have seen and probably done that GIGANTIC tsc ship ranking on SORTR by @rhiannons-bird. What a fun thing that was, having to choose between Gabrily and KitTy... and Herongraystairs and Kieraktina... and Jessa and Wessa...
ANYWAYS- after doing some digging on SORTR to see if there were ones that only included the characters themselves, I realised that those only included the TV show version or only certain types of characters so that got me thinking: What if there was a SORTR with all the characters of TSC?- okay, not ALL of them obviously, but the major ones and a few notable ones (am i biased? Maybe :p)
If you want me to make things harder for everyone, feel free to ask me to throw in more items. Maybe make it 500 items 😊😊😊 (we'd be stuck in sortr for hours on end if that were to happen lol)
Also I know TSC character showdowns exist from time to time but those are technically a team effort and the characters that win might not be your personal pick
With all that said- waste your time wisely, take a million breaks if needed, have fun and try not to kill each other over this!
Agajn, I don't expect ANYONE to finish this in one go. Actually I expect many to abandon it entirely halfway through (so surprise me lol)

what are your thoughts on grace blackthorn and her redemption arc??? i personally hate her but also do sympathise with her immensely :D

i also dislike grace and i think her redemption arc was poorly done. mostly because i think all character development and plotlines were poorly done in tlh, but i digress.
grace was very much "oh my adoptive mother is forcing me to be evil. woe is me." which i found to be very boring. especially compared to the grace we were introduced to in the midnight heir who seemed to be evil because she wanted to be and she was not afraid to let people know she's an absolute bitch.
i am obsessed with the idea of grace who is a genuine villain, who does bad things because she wants to, who manipulates people to get what she wants. unfortunately the grace we got is not that.
we were supposed to feel sorry for her while also acknowledging the harm she caused but honestly her whole character fell flat for me and what she made me feel was bored.
but even with the version of grace that we have, i think her redemption came too quickly. i think she should've suffered a bit more lmao. why did they accept her into their friend group so fast? even if they forgive her it doesn't mean she should become their friend. the relationship between grace and the rest of the characters should be formal at best
no because she always tells us shit about some characters from a character's point of view who should not be able to notice it
for example let's say magnus and alec have a fight or something and then we're reading a scene from kit's pov and it's like. he noticed the way magnus looked at alec. cassandra no he did not. there are 15 people in the room and they're discussing how to save the world. there is no way one character will notice a glance between two other characters.
like i get that we need to know what's going on between everyone in one scene but telling us every single minute change from the pov of one character pisses me off so bad
i'm rereading midnight heir right now and even knowing about the gracelet and the spell and the backstory we do now from tlh, i still can't reconcile this james with tlh james. it's like even if he was drunk and being dramatic, so much of what he said pointed to such a different character and personality than what we actually saw in tlh. like there should have been more going on than what actually ended up being it. it's just bizarre to reread and look back

so i recently binged the alien franchise and i just found out that the general consensus is that the resurrection movie is bad
i know nothing about the fandom so i want to ask if that's true because i really liked resurrection 💀 it was the most memorable movie for me out of all of them. why do people not like it??
