ㅤㅤㅤㅤAFTER YOU SET IT DOWN ON THE TABLE, your fingers gently slipped off the handle of the white cup holding your favourite coffee. A few seconds later, they landed on the page of the novel that had been entertaining you that Saturday morning.
After a stressful week at university, you finally managed to find a little time for yourself. You had no course material to master for seminar presentations, no tight deadlines for handing in papers and assignments, and no more hours spent trying to understand a difficult subject just to take an even harder test. Your only concern was whether the novel's protagonists would finally realise their feelings and declare their unconditional love for each other in the most clichéd way possible.
Well, that, and the cute boy who was walking toward your table with a cup of some kind of hot drink and a plate with a chocolate muffin on it.
“Hi.” His strong Italian accent made him even cuter. “Sorry to bother you,” he continued, “but would you mind if I sat here? All the other seats are taken.”
“No, it’s fine! Make yourself comfortable!” You smiled and pointed to the empty seat in front of you.
"Thank you." he said, his ears turning slightly red as he settled into the padded chair and placed the dessert plate and glass of drink in front of him.
"Italian?" you asked, curious, even though you recognised that accent from a distance because of one of your friends from college.
"How did you know?" He looked up in surprise, his eyes wide with curiosity as he gazed in your direction.
“Your accent!” you laughed softly. "I have an Italian friend who has the same accent."
"Oh" he said, nodding as he raised his drink to his lips.
"That's really cute" you said bluntly.
“Huh?” The guy in front of you ended up choking on his drink, which made you stifle a laugh as his face turned as red as a strawberry.
"Thanks! Your accent is cute, too, even though I don’t know where it’s from."
"My name’s Y/N" you said, extending your hand across the table towards him.
"Andrea" he replied, shaking your hand and smiling.
Within a few minutes, the two of you had struck up a friendly conversation. Andrea was not only cute, but also someone with whom conversation flowed easily and naturally. He asked about the book you were reading, your university and your favourite coffee and dessert. With each answer, he remained silent, as if absorbing every word. He responded enthusiastically to your questions too, even though he was vague when you asked what he did for a living.
Before you knew it, time had flown by and it was time to meet your mum for lunch.
But before you could leave, Andrea, looking a little shy, took a napkin from the table, pulled a pen out of his small backpack, wrote down his number and told you to contact him so you could meet up again and enjoy another pleasant morning together.
You agreed with a smile, promising to text him to arrange another meeting.

hello!! idk if your request box is open but could you possibly make a kimi smau/fic where he meets a girl at the beach or a cafe . . but the reader doesn’t know who he is but they get eachothers socials (most likely spam a backup account in kimi’s case) and she is surprised when her friends spam her with posts made by fan pages and paparazzi labeling her as a “mystery girl” that kimi is “dating” when it was literally their first time interacting 😭😭 but anyway after that they actually get to know eachother and they like fall in lovee 🫠
