Y’know I reblogged this a bit ago and was saved from financial probation and getting kicked out of school because of it, just mere months from graduation. I wish battleborn was released at some other time because its actually a good game. I dont get the “we’re trying to compete with overwatch” vibe from gearbox

People keep trying to compare overwatch and battleborn and it shouldnt be that way

Overwatch is pretty much a team fortress replacement with richer characters and environment

Battleborn is pretty much its own game. its trying to do something different and i feel like people are building up an unnecessary bias toward overwatch. If you wanna play battleborn then play battleborn and if you wanna play overwatch play overwatch

To be honest thats EXACTLY what i want to say on the matter considering they actually cut content out of overwatch to release it faster. The fact that battleborn is even mentioned among the game kinda shows that blizzard knew what they were doing. Its not like nobody would’ve bought overwatch, but im sure people would be talking about battleborn in a different way if it was released first.

Blizzard is a marketing evil genius.

Or bully…considering they’re MUCH bigger than gearbox
