Noir detectives are actually meant to be stressed, it’s their natural state. A Noir detective with nothing to be stressed about, will quickly revert to a more highly stressed state than normal.

Noir detectives require stress to be healthy, that’s why it’s a good idea to make sure that an Inside Detective has access to regular difficult and alarming cases to solve and also a shower they can stand in (fully clothed or not) to agonize, since they can’t go out in the rain. Don’t be alarmed if they bang their little fists on the tile and howl, that’s a normal part of the display. If they sit on the floor and cry, though, they may be overstimulated and need some hard alcohol and a nap to help them settle down.

Hey I saw someone on tumblr says Saiki is canon trans, I really want to know when did this has been said in canon by the author or which chapter I and interested

Is Saiki canonly trans? I guess it depends on what your definition of “canon” is. I don’t think Saiki was intended to be a trans character, but, well, he… sort of is canonly trans.

All the evidence for trans!Saiki that I know of comes from Chapter 131 of the manga. There we are told that Saiki was shapeshifting in his mother’s womb and continued to shapeshift when he was first born.

(Content warning for genitalia mentions in this next paragraph)

The doctors first assigned Saiki male since they saw a penis in the ultrasounds, and when Saiki was born they saw he had a vagina and were going to assign him female at birth, when he shapeshifted again an hour later and the doctors officially assigned him male at birth.

The wording of the story doesn’t seem too respectful of trans people to me, so because of that I’m personally a bit cautious of saying he’s canonly trans. I don’t want people to get the wrong idea and think the anime/manga is great trans rep. But, well… he explicitly says that he was assigned female when he was first born, and that he identifies as male. Again, I suppose it depends on what you’re asking and how you define canon. So make of that what you will.

I have yet to read the entire manga (I’ve just read a few chapters here and there) so there might be a few more mentions of his assigned gender at birth or his current gender identity in other chapters.
