September Timbern Event Of Some Kind

[This is the final DRAFT. If any prompts miss the mark, or you feel they'd be too limiting, feel free to say so! The deadline for the canon (?) version of the bingo card will be August 1st, in case anyone wants to prepare early before September term starts. I don't want people feeling constrained by the time frame, since September is indeed a difficult month for those who are still in their studies!]

Okay, I'm adding a little FAQ down here. I'll add to it if anyone else has any questions, but these are sort of more "clearing up some issues and sticking-points people seem to have" than questions anyone has really asked outright.

What if the AU I like isn't here?

Create something for it anyway! You can take "villain/vigilante Bernard" and make a court of owls AU piece about it! If you want to do marriage, "the future," or "celebrating milestones" will absolutely cover that! You could pick any prompt and have them be in an Aliens AU just because you like it. "Family" could mean Bernard hangs out with the bats, just as much as it could be an exploration of how he feels about his own family, now that he has someone who loves him for who he is. Any prompt can mean whatever you want it to.

I want the choices in this event to be vague so that you get to make the things you like, while filling out the bingo card as you go! You do not need to feel bound to what you imagine the "expectation" will be. Go crazy with it, really. There are no rules aside from "please enjoy yourself, and let's all play merrily with our community!"

Can Kon or Steph be involved in my work?

I don't want to limit you, make whatever makes you happy, BUT this is a timbern event, so just keep that in mind - they're welcome here, but remember why we're gathered for the event hahaha. I will give you fun points for Louis E Grieve classmates appearing to cause trouble though.

These prompts are kind of fluffy.. (nobody has said this, I'm just self conscious haha)

Do not limit yourself! Any prompt can become angst if you believe in yourself! Same goes for if you'd like to make NSFW submissions. Take a prompt or two and run freely with them, you beautiful wild horse.

Damian. Can I put Damian in here?

I'm surprised how many people love their brotherhood and have mentioned him in terms of this event (in a good way, like, aw). Damian can be shoehorned into any prompt if you just believe in his power of being an awesome little brother.

How many submissions should I make?

As few or as many as you like. One work featuring half the prompts, 25 works featuring one prompt each, a week's worth of prompts here and there - whatever works for you!

Luka did you make the collage in the background?

Yes, so it's shit, and it's also awesome. I'll post it alone later in the month to remind people of the event haha.

Anyway here are some custom daubs I threw together for the bingo! They'll meet in the middle to kiss (pending whether I make little kissing ones for the middle row or just smush these two together lmaoooo) I made 2 versions, classic hedgehog-Tim and sunglasses-Bern and modern curtain-bangs-Tim and boy-next-door-Bern! They're just kinda silly and cutesy hehe.

If you want to use them too, I'll slice them up into their single forms and resize them to fit with the bingo card size by default - but also feel free to go wacky with it in your own way! Cut out pngs from panels or whatever, it'll be cutesy!

Septimbern Bingo Event Interest Check?

So, a little while back I mused over the idea of a timbern fandom event, and I thought about it a lot since then, and figured.. eh, why not, what's the worst that can happen - even if nobody actually joins, I figured I'd make the event and participate on my own anyway! No problem!

That being the case, I've decided to host a bingo-style event, and for it to encompass the full month of September! This is for a couple of reasons:

These days, finding time to make fun things is getting more and more difficult on top of work and studies and general life. I want this to feel free-form and laid back - if you have the full month to play with the event, you can join in around your own schedule and play as you like!

I just feel like it's fun to play bingo. I guess I'm 84.

With a style like month-long-bingo, it feels naturally more fluid. For example, you can pick and choose whichever prompts you like and mix them into singular works or lay back and do small/quick works prompt-by-prompt! You don't have to do them all, or you could sweep the whole board, as you like! (You don't have to work toward getting a "bingo" at all of course, it's just for fun. The number one most important thing is having fun.) There's no specific day or order for any specific prompt, just your personal drive! I like that kind of concept. Be free!

Now. This post is kind of doing 2 things; interest checking, and also asking for your help!

Since the interest check is sort of nebulous and will only be answered after the post is out, we'll head straight into asking for help.

I haven't finished coming up with prompts, clearly (the light blue spaces have yet to be filled!) because as it turns out, coming up with ideas is hard, and 24 whole ideas is a total headache (I feel like you can see I scraped the barrel with some of these prompts lmao.)

So, if you are interested, please feel free to suggest prompts, or suggest better wording for prompts that might not make sense at a glance (you can do this in the replies of this post!). If there are any issues or questions about the broader aspect of this event, feel free to drop me an ask, too.

I'll also say pre-emptively that all fanwork is cool fanwork. Art, fic, playlist ideas, cosplay (?), webweaves, you know, whatever you'd like to do, please go ahead, let creativity flow, that's what art events are all about! Whatever you post to another site (for example if you make a playlist or a fic and host it outside of tumblr), post a link or a preview over here so I can sort it into the gallery and make the timbern goodness accessible to all!

On the same note, fluff, angst, nsfw, whump, all is totally welcome in this event, just make sure you tag it appropriately! This event is just as much about timbernation as it is about timbern themselves! No fan is shut out from enjoying it in their own way! Just make sure the work focuses on the guys in question, of course.

Last notes;

There aren't any prizes, but maybe there could be? For now, no prizes though. Just fun and fandom and playing together.

The prompts are half-vague half-obvious because everyone likes different types of prompts (and if you want to mix the prompts together, it'll make it easier if some are worldbuilding and some are vibebuilding).

And if I seem informal it's because it's a fan event, it's not a job application. We're parallel playing and thinking about timbern! Let's have a good time doing it!
