Why couldn't my Mum give me a unique Chinese name instead? At least my surname is Wu, it apparently comes from some ancient Chinese state, according to my Grandma. But guess what, she read that from Wikipedia. I made sure to check. I'm impressed that she managed to navigate her way through the internet though. Well anyway, considering my mum is now in the sky somewhere I guess I’ll never know why until I myself drop dead someday. And who knows when that will be.

To Tired Writers. To the people out there whose hearts very, very much want to write and work on WIPs, but who are just mentally and physically exhausted right now. It’s okay. It is okay to rest sometimes. Allow yourself time to rest.

Now how do I start my story? I mean, everything just sort of happened. I didn't really care too much about anything. People make a big deal about turning thirteen, sixteen, eighteen or whatever. Nothing particularly extraordinary happened in my life though. Ah, those days when I woke up late, got to school late, messed around, ate, slept and the cycle went on. But now, looking back, I could see that perhaps it was indeed extraordinary; I just didn't notice at the time.

hello!

this intro is long overdue but I’m finally making it hehe

my name’s ashika, I’m 18 and a history of art major at uni :) I started this blog in hopes of being able to share some of my writing which will include poetry and excerpts from my novels! my inspiration for this blog is the absolutely lovely and amazing @grimmwrites <3

the stories I’m currently writing are a coming-of-age novel titled Middlepark, a romance titled Fairy Tales of Another Kind and a fantasy series. However, I will not be posting anything about the latter series due to how special it is and I could not bear it if anyone were to steal/plagiarise if I post it on here so sorry about that! I will be sharing stuff about the others tho and will also share my poems from my collection :) I am thinking of starting another fantasy novel which may be posted here as well as some quotes that may pop up in my head from time to time :)

my favourite genre is most definitely fantasy! my favourite series are lotr and noughts and crosses and I’m currently reading the raven cycle and will hopefully start the six of crows duology soon :) i also love video games: final fantasy, resident evil and tekken and they’ve proven to influence my writing as well!

I hope you enjoy my content and I also reblog fandom aesthetics to give my blog some variety, thank you!
