LET’S SAY IT TOGETHER, BOYS: jesse isn’t a dumb cowboy trope. he isn’t useless. he is incredibly capable and intelligent. there’s a reason reyes picked him out of the entirety of deadlock and brought him into the b.lackwatch fold, which was TOP SECRET and required so much competence to even be considered in. not only that, he eventually climbed himself up to a point where he was a de facto second in command. he gets the job done and he gets it done good. not to mention, after the fall of o.verwatch, he is running around the world with a 60 million dollar bounty on his head ( which is arguably more than j.unkrat and r.oadhog combined if we’re going off of the wanted poster sprays ) and he still hasn’t been caught.

he was a leader of a notorious gang that STILL controls the southwest despite b.lackwatch’s efforts to dismantle them. i personally headcanon he was the reason ashe didn’t get caught and therefore the reason she was able to continue on with the gang. we can all joke around, and hell jesse even makes shit decisions sometimes, but we can’t deny that he is lethal and dangerous and not a joke
