There's a lot of important things that school doesn't teach. Sometimes the people that are controlling our lives are blind and inconsiderate, and that sucks. As great as it is that the new Ontario government wants to consult parents on the subject, parents aren't always the best teachers. Plenty of parents don't want their children to know these things or think they're inappropriate. Plenty of parents think sex, sexuality and gender beyond cis-norms are wrong all together. That is dangerous for anyone in the lgbt+ community, especially young people. Not to mention that we are surrounded by the internet everyday, so cyber-safety and info on cyber bullying are extremely important things. Especially, once again, for young people and kids who don't know better yet. I hope that you guys back home remember to be safe and look for answers to your questions. Google that shit man, a search engine won't judge you. Teachers don't necessarily have to stick 100% with the curriculum, and I really hope they don't on this, there's so much more to know.
