“He’s no good, you know”, Dietrich spoke as he stepped out of the shadows. One of his hands was positioned in a semi-fist while the other was stuck inside of his pocket.
He had been watching his master engage with this woman and while it appeared that Anselm really did have feelings for this being, Dietrich couldn’t trust it. There was great concern that this being could be hurt or worse, killed.
“He’s used and discarded others before you…” Brandt expected outrage, of course; he’d been priming himself for the chance that he’d get slapped. At the least. Maybe maimed. At the worst. “I couldn’t bear to watch anymore without warning you.”

Claudia had felt him hiding in the shadows yet the aura that radiated off of him was different than most that tried to stalk her. This intrigued her so she waited patiently until he finally decided to speak.
He could mean many things in her book. Their were many people she associated herself with from time to time but it didn’t take her long to figure out who he was talking about. Anselm. This caused her to lift her gaze a peer curiously at the creature who addressed her. The expression on her face remained very posed and controlled until he was done talking. That was when a very amused grin cracked her beautiful face.
“But what if its my intention to use and disregard?” She cued to him. “Come now child, don’t assume that I an so weak and ignorant. I’ve been burned and bruised before….your words of warning are unnecessary…”
Her words stunned him and he actually did a double take at her and whatever shadow he had staring at. The first thought to enter his head: evil?
Now he could see it; the confidence oozing out of her. It was clear that she ruled this world and everything in it. Dietrich could understand what Anselm liked so much about her seeing as he carried himself much in the same manner.
“I should have known”, he said in place of an apology. “Will you tell him that I came to you?” A soft laugh rolled out of his throat. If Anselm had known, Dietrich was either dead or who knew what.
