hellooooo in my attempts to understand everything about shirube i ended up trying my hand at translating it! so far i've only done six's solo (i'm struggling hard with nehan's currently) but if i manage to finish in time, i'll upload the others :)
anyway, please keep in mind that i'm a beginner and have never translated a song before (who could've guessed that even if you know the lyrics to a song in japanese it's not easy to convert that into english !), this isn't perfect by any means and there may be mistakes but i tried my best with getting things as accurate as possible and also conveying the feelings behind the lyrics. please look forward to SaltPrince's own translation as well (i'm very excited for all three versions)!!

translator notes:
there are so many references to hands and touching hands because of the ongoing trend of six being reached out to by others (ano otoko, siete, danchou (and lyria and vyrn)) and being directly taken by the hand (danchou reaching out their hand to six and him taking it during seeds of redemption and at the end of his event ssr fate episodes) as well as "do not let go of that hand" / "kono te o hanasanai de" (one of the trophies from seeds of redemption) and the last page of ano otoko's journal saying for six to, when he finds people he loves, never let go of them
the way i read the "kaze ni nagasare shi hate nao gouka ni yakarete" is the wind is referring to siete, who "carried away" from karm, but "the flames of hell" "still burn" him because of the trauma of what he went through there and the trauma of killing everyone. i have no idea if this is actually the intention with the line but that's been my interpretation since i read the lyrics and now i can't get it out of my head. i don't think we even know who recruited six to the eternals so i wonder if this is confirmation that it was siete???
the song is very much telling six's story and is super clearly laid out into sections which is a touch i super appreciate. it starts from his life in karm -> the massacre -> being recruited to the eternals by siete -> meeting danchou -> his 5* episodes ("wasureru koto nai zaika idaki susumu ni nare do" is sooo supposed to be calling back to the six-ruin fist poking and prodding six about his past and telling him to never forget what he's done, and six's acceptance of what he's done and of himself and taking it into the future) -> the fight with danchou in his 5* episodes -> seeds of redemption -> everything that comes after (ALSO NO MENTION OF HIS TIME WITH ANO OTOKO????????? deserved tbh fuck that guy at this point we should've punched him a few more times (unless the shadow is referring to ano otoko? but i personally don't think so cuz ano otoko is referred to as 'light' in the same way danchou is, and he was the first person who did reach out a hand to six))
based on the surrounding lyrics, my interpretation of "kienai kesenai yurusarenu kako namida sae wasurete" is: when six is referring to the "unforgivable past" he's referring to what has been done to him and how he has been treated in karm, what he endured was unforgivable. ofc this is just my interpretation, it could very well be referring to six massacring the clan and how that's "unforgivable" (but at this point in the song, the massacre hasn't happened yet which is another reason why my interpretation is different). he was neglected, he's been treated poorly, forgotten and ignored by his people, and so were the tears he cried alone in that cell.
based on six's story, the "them" and "you" are referring to danchou, and the "we" is six and danchou together. at first i wondered if it was about ano otoko or the crew in general, but 'te/hand' in relation to six is directly linked to danchou, who is the one who is always being depicted as taking six's hand. similarly, the person who six is living for (mentioned by esser in her and six's records of the ten story) and the person who six says he will walk beside and stay together with "until his dying breath" (said by six in his transcendence episodes and his event ssr fate episodes) is danchou specifically
love love love the references to tears in both the lyrics and six's half-mask in his shirube outfit having a teardrop attached to it. i always knew you were a crier, six. please cry in front of me i need this in my life

after 4 years of drawing webcomics, this is my wisdom:
start now. now. now now now. or else you'll never draw this damn thing
it's fine if you don't have the entire story figured out yet, it'll happen naturally
draw what you want to draw!! webcomics often run for years, so you better work with something you like
don't overcomplicate things. a simple, efficient work flow is your top priority in order to stay consistent
bullshit some things. trace background refs. reuse poses. draw your character's face from different angles and just copy paste it in to save time. be smart about your work baby
take breaks if needed. webcomic burnout is real
sometimes, a panel or a page looks bad. shit happens. move on
lettering is actually really important and super hard to pull off
it's your comic. do what you want forever!!!
I'm begging you again to work smart, not hard. reuse backgrounds. use brush sets for webcomic artists. trace 3D objects. use 3D models to pose your characters
you may need hours or days to draw one panel, but people will look at it for 5-8 seconds. keep that in mind
a simple background is better than no background at all (avoiding the white void increases the quality of your work by a ton!)
sometimes the anatomy needs to be a little off to make an interesting shot/panel. that's fine, don't worry about it too much
at least 2000px canvas and 300 dpi for good quality results
it's okay to stop by the way. it's okay to move on from a project if you no longer find joy in it
It looked like you would kinda expect but still wild to literally see it out in the wild since its usually inside the body...i guessed it was just regular blood clots at first but the doctor mentioned this seems to be cancerous tissue and honestly when taking a closer look it did look different, clearly wasnt clots but some form of deformed tissue.
It was only possible to literally be seen because the cancer was located in the bladder and the patient was wearing a catheter, through which the tissue got flushed out
