Idea:

Since the Roaring(when the dark overtakes light) causes darkners to petrify

Then the anti-roaring(when the light overtakes dark) would cause lightners to freeze solid.

Because thats what happens to non-functioning game windows, they freeze, go motionless until restored to their intended enviorment.

What if Eram and the Knight are the same species

Dark/Star(they defend against and attack with those elements respectively) Type "Darkners"(more accurately whatever the titans are. Fountains given living form) who both dont need an object to manifest.

They can operate independently of a dark fountain(Pink already knew about ERAM, and we already know the knights fine in the light world)

Their forms are able to change(the knight spams it though eram is literally just the shadow mantle in their fight),

Their forms primarily matching who they were made in the image of(Eram is made in the dark image of kris. The knight was made in the dark image of dess)

They shift through a sequence of colors when in a losing state(both eram and the knight shift through red, blue, purple, and maroon in their final sequences)

They display violent tendencies like a titan but are able to supress it until the time is right.

The Knight and Eram are both Titaners(name patent pending), who represent the fear of self, made by kris but from different origins

The Kris we know made the Knight, because although their headspace at the time of them being in/leaving the shelter what self hating in some aspects, it was mostly focused on their memories of dess, causing the two to be sorta merged into one unified memory, of a tall person... a hockey player, and a knife wielder. And since we know the knight doesnt need direct contact to make fountains with blades which I dont even think are comprised of actual matter, we can assume kris, who can easily make a fountain SOULLESS, has imbued the knight with their will in some way.

But the kris in side b made ERAM, which is why eram is IN the shelter, presumably having some connections to side b given the connection between the lake, the depths, gaster, and then the lake.

Eram is a far more direct version of kris' self hatred, a vile representation of all of their intrusive thoughts who hides in the shadows, and because of them believing direct responsibility over what happened to dess, eram has become the natural leader over the other group responsible, the FRIEND(s) horde. Eram is a monster in every aspect of the word, because kris both wanted to be a monster and believed themself to be one. Noone really wants eram around aside from the cat horde obviously so they never got the ability to make fountains.

Consider:

The person in the third sanctuary who offers to bring you back to the second sanctuary refers to it as the other side of your mind(referring to kris' mind specifically given they talk about what kris did if you have already collected the egg), and the second sanctuary had already been described as another side of a preexisting dream, the knights dream. But if the second sanctuary is also another side of kris' dream, then shouldnt that mean the knights dream(and thus will) and kris' dream(and thus will) are for all intents and purposes interchangeable

Furthermore we see none of the second sanctuary type stuff happening when the knight makes a new fountain in the flower king dark world, implying once again, the wills are similar enough to be interchangeable.
