i kinda had the impression that travel within the EU wasn't a big deal like i'd basically be able to show up in ireland and get a next-day ticket for a trivial price and honestly i was a stressed out and chronically ill refugee who wasn't able to plan ahead any further than i did so I pretty much took that assertion without further investigation. this is going to cost me like a couple hundred euros but it aready happened.

$40 so far and i really appreciate it. i have an onward ticket on the 6th to vienna where i'll be staying for a couple days and then i'll get a train the rest of the way home

Anyway, when I was in college I was constantly going to marches and protests against canadian and saudi mining projects in the Santurbán páramo, one of the most important ecosystems in Colombia in terms of biodiversity, and the source of drinking water of 30+ municipalities in my state, including the city I live in. Ultimately these mining proposals lost their license due to environmental regulations.

But now that our new far-right president elect is looking to suck up to imperial core powers once again, canadian mining corporation Aris mining is interested in re-starting mining projects in Santurbán. Which, would inevitably give cyanide poisoning not only to my city's drinking water, but 30+ other municipalities and indigenous communities.

This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. Americans are advanced enough by now that they can do an INCREDIBLY convincing job of talking like they're actually thinking, reasoning beings, but it's all smoke and mirrors. All they're doing is mimicking the same speech patterns and rhetorical phrasings real people typically use to discuss their internality. There have actually been really sad cases of people who convince themselves they're in 'relationships' with Americans, mistaking the American's hollow acting-out of romance scripts for actual love and affection. In extreme instances some people appear to have been driven to actual psychosis by conversing too much with Americans, letting the American's delusions overwrite their own sense of reality. You have to remember they're not real, don't let yourself be emotionally manipulated.
