Weird, i actually really liked Black widow as i enjoy how she usually seems to do whats best in her mind. She chooses to sign the accords, she chooses to help Cap, and in what i thought was one of the best character moments, she decides to go to see Cap at Peggys funeral because she felt that HE would need someone to be there for him. Seems like the main lead guy needed her in a few spots more than she needs a man. Which i like. Scarlett witch i can concede to being poorly portrayed. disagree?
No, I see what you mean, and I felt that way for a lot of the movie, but then she ultimately acquiesces to cap… because he felt strongly about it????? So did she! That’s what got me, it just felt like “cap’s needs are more important than mine”.. which yeah for a lot of the movie wasn’t the case. But it’s not like she was in the spotlight for that long even if you ignore that one scene.
I took that last scene a bit differently. It never seemed to me like she was super invested in one side or another. Like she said at the funeral, it’s more important that they stick together, than how. So she sides with Stark since that’s how she thinks the team will end up going, but turns out there’s a schism.
And when the airport scene begins and Cap talks about more Winter Soldiers, I’ll bet -- since she wasn’t as emotionally invested as Stark -- she was more receptive to his story. Since it was evident to her at that point that the team sticking together wan’t an option, she sided with her friend and his mission. (I’m pretty sure she wasn’t there in person when Cap told Stark about his mission, but Stark’s team could have been in radio contact.)
Top Seven Things About Internet Shame Mobs
(via Popehat)
7) Initial news reports are always completely accurate, so we know we've got the right guy.
6) Initial news reports are always full of nuance, so we know that we understand the situation and can distinguish sarcasm from seriousness, and being nearby from being the active participant.
5) Internet shame mobs weigh the evidence carefully and deliberately before attacking, so they only happen to people who deserve them.
4) Internet shame mobs use the rule of law and due process, so when they occur by accident or to the wrong person it's easy for them to make amends and restore reputations, jobs, and friendships.
3) Internet shame mobs always make sure that the punishment is proportional to the crime.
2) Every member of an internet shame mob is without sin, so any one of them is morally just in throwing the first stone.

CAN YALL MATHMETICIANS HELP IM MAD CONFUSED
Pretty sure you subtract your $1 from the $98 you owe to get $97, which is how much the shirt costs. No mystery.
Think of it this way: instead of keeping $1 from the change for yourself and only paying back $1 each to your parents, try splitting the change evenly. You pay $1.50 to your mom and dad each. Now you owe each of them $50 - $1.50 = $48.50. So you add $48.50 + $48.50 to figure how much you owe, and you get $97, which is the cost of the shirt, since you didn’t spend any of your own money.
Another way to think of it is, in the original question you’re adding $49+$49+$1 to get $99. But $49 is really negative money since it’s money you owe, while $1 is positive since it’s money you have. (-$49) + (-$49) + ($1) = -$97, meaning you owe a total of $97, which makes sense, again since that’s the cost of the shirt and you didn’t spend any of your own money on it.
Incredible how close they are to nailing this thing. Once these rockets can land themselves after coming back from space, costs of spaceflight are gonna be be incredibly slashed. If any news outlets try and make this out as a failure, just remember the words of Louis C.K.: "It's going to space, give it a sec!"
P.S. this was slowed down, play it at 2x speed for what it was like realtime. They say the failure was due to static friction on the engine valves being more than their control software expected. The reason this is so gosh darn hard is because they can't really throttle down the thrust to match the pull of gravity. Even firing one engine is more than enough to generate significant lift, so they can't bring it to a hover. They're doing what's called a "hoverslam", timing the engine firing so perfectly that the moment the rocket's downward velocity is completely cancelled and it's about to begin ascending back up, it's positioned precisely over the landing pad and can cut the engines.
This Easter we can celebrate that He rose from the dead, so we can rise too.

I like to think that this is the prequal of Ikki dancing with Huan :D
As I drew this, I asked myself, why I don’t draw Kainora more often :D Because seriously, Kai is a hot guy.
So sad there wasn't a dance episode in Korra.
#CommonCore This is how the Government gets the unemployment rate.

THE HELL’S THIS CRAP
what the hell is that supposed to even mean? I had to read over the explanation twice, and I’m taking algebra 2.
I’m taking freaking Calculus and I don’t get what the teacher is trying to do.
8+5=13. You can’t take 2 out of 5 and have 3 left over and just sitting in the side with nowhere to go. Math doesn’t work like that. AND, MR OR MRS TEACHER, YOU CERTAINLY CAN’T ADD 3 TO 8+2 BECAUSE YOU STILL GET 13
YOU ALREADY DID 8+2=10 YOU GOT 10 WHY DO YOU ADD 3?! YOU WON’T HAVE 10 ANYMORE YOU’LL HAVE 13
WHICH IS WHAT 8+5 IS SUPPOSED TO FREAKING EQUAL
DAMMIT
My post with 129,000 notes is back in my dash again
Yes, it's idiotic. But I can see where the logic is. The students are being tested on their ability to add 8 and 5 and get 13. If they adhere to the Common Core approach, an intermediate step will leave them with 10 and 3. Apparently, according to Common Core the best way to add 8 and 5 is to:
split 5 into 2 and 3
add 2 to 8 to get 10
add in 3 to get 13
Pretty sound approach if you need to think about it. But that question's wording is way confusing.

i’ve been trying to explain this sketch to people for years

What the Korra finale did to the fandom.
i think a big reason why i use tons of emoticons and exclamation points is because i want there to be no doubt that i’m being friendly and not at all terse or uninterested, cause i have the problem where when people reply to me i’m sure they must be soo irritated with me and disgusted with who i am as a person if they don’t put some indication of being interested/happy to speak with me (liiiiike exclamation points or emoticons).
See, this is why I would love the ElRay Mark to go mainstream. Seems like it'd solve so many problems.
You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end.
