   such sweet words, the words he WANTED to hear, made all the more bitter by knowing fully that were ryuzaki to die after coming into contact with misa that the task force would have no doubt in regards to her true identity as the second kira.

   there was nothing more that he would like than to have L perish at his hand, yet such a thing had to wait.

it REALLY pisses me off when people complain about how the second half of death note was stupid, and how light had no reason to keep the rest of the task force alive. like.. it shouldn’t even need explaining? if the WHOLE TASK FORCE, minus Light Yagami and his father, are murdered by kira then wouldn’t it look the slightest bit suspicious? light’s name and face would be just as easy, if not more so, to access as the rest of them, therefore it’d put him under high suspicion once again. in fact, it would have gotten him caught potentially YEARS earlier than in the manga/show, as both near and mello would have picked up on this blatantly obvious occurrence relatively quickly.

MISA AMANE.

Misa wondered would heaven have felt something like the feeling she was having when being with Light. The feeling felt so good after all. She would never give this feeling up for anything in the world. The blonde would fight to the death anyone who was to take away Light’s love from her. After all, she felt no one deserved it but her. Her and her only. She was Light’s true queen.

Her own grip around Light tightened a bit as well. She basking in every bit of the moment between her and Light  now since it wasn’t often it happened after all. Hearing Light’s silky voice was like music to Misa’s ears and she felt her cheeks warm up a bit more at his ‘buttering up’ words toward her. Actually, the feeling was really heaven to her. As Light was Misa’s heaven.

Feeling the comforting massage of Light’s fingers against her head and through hair, she gazed up into her lover’s eyes while thinking she did not want the moment to end between them now. “Mmhm. Yes~..” She answered sweetly and obediently to Light. It would always come to be her first thing on the list to do everyday. Following Light’s orders. Furthermore, she wanted to come to not be a nuisance in any way of her lover’s plans and really make a great impression on how useful she was and how she was all that Light really needed. “Are you hungry~?” She wondered as she asked Light now. “I can make us dinner for tonight~~” After all, Misa knew she had a bit of cooking skills on her side. At that, she saw it as another thing to impress Light on. She could show Light how much of a good ‘wife’ she could be too once they eventually got to that step after all.

   “that’d be wonderful, thank you, misa.” in truth, he rarely ever found himself to be hungry. no, A LIE; he never found himself with an apetite, yet his body continued to weaken and complain when he refused to eat for long periods of times. even gods, albeit human ones, needed sustenance.

   as he held her for a moment longer he wondered if he’d ever be capable of loving her. he doubted it. if such a thing were going to occur, it would have happened by now. he doubted that he’d ever love anyone again. still..

   lowering his head towards hers, their lips locking. it was far from the first time they had kissed, yet it always seemed to please her. she was hardly subtle with what she wanted. some part of him, buried deep inside his psyche told him that what he was doing was WRONG. that using the woman by manipulating her feelings was disgusting. yet he continued to do so. he needed her, and not in the romantic sense. light told himself that it wasn’t disgusting and that there was no harm; misa wanted it. he was giving her what she wanted, even if she wasn’t aware that it was all an act. he had, however, told her how he didn’t want to be sexually involved with her until after their marriage. she had seemed quite upset at it, yet also thrilled. in her eyes it must have seemed like confirmation that he did indeed wish to marry her, though such a thing had yet to be officially planned.

     “Me leaving her out of the investigation for the time being is not an admission that she is above suspicion. Yes Light, she certainly is capable of murder. Often times with these sort of cases, it is the unexpected person that is the true culprit. Someone who is feigning their innocence, and putting on a true performance.” Perhaps like you. No matter how innocent Light seemed to be, L just couldn’t bring himself to trust him.

   a long PAUSE from light, carefully thinking his answer. ryuzaki was always on his top mark, always thinking, always watching. finally, he spoke.

   “ryuzaki.. i mean no disrespect to misa when i say this, but just STOP AND THINK for a moment. you yourself must know that kira is someone with immense mental skill and reasoning, someone incapable of loving and incapable of caring. and, well.. misa just doesn’t fit the description. you really think SHE’S the one outsmarting you?”
