i think we all just need to hear i love you’s and i miss you’s without needing to ask for it. whether it’s romantically or platonically.
Is love really just a feeling or is there more to it to deem whether or not the person we’re dating is somebody we want to be in love with.
I recently got broken up with someone I was attempting a long distance relationship. We dating for almost 5 months, but there seemed to be a strain where we both couldn’t fully feel a deep connection. Was it truly the distance between us that inhibited a deeper feeling?
When I’m with him in person, the connection feels as though I’ve known him forever and it all just feels so right and natural. At times I wonder if I just wasn’t enough for him or what he’s looking for. Although he says he does like me and cares for me, but why the hesitation for commitment?
Why are relationships so easy for some and difficult for others (me) ?
Jean-Michel Basquiat 'Tobacco (Tabac) 1984
Created in 1984, for his first one-artist show at the Bruno Bischofberger gallery in Zürich, this painting depicts a human skull, a frequent subject in his art.
When he was 7, Basquiat was ran over by a car and spent a long time in a hospital recovering from surgeries. His mom got him a Grey's Anatomy book to keep him occupied, which is possibly why skeletons and skulls are depicted in his pieces so often.
Despite his short life, he created a lot of art, which still to this day, sparks a lot of thoughts and reflections from the public.
Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time.

“Sometimes suffering is just suffering. It doesnt make you stronger. It doesnt build character. It only hurts.”
— Kate Jacobs; Comfort Food
Seagirl is a beautifully made song, from the soft-ethereal voice of Raveena to King Krule's mysterious-deep voice riding the soothing, yet haunting, wave of the songs instrumental beat. Seagirl induces so many emotions, I weep a little every time I hear it. This song feels like the peak moment when two individuals are about to fall in love, but there seems to be some sort of hesitancy to fully give in to each other because of the fear of being used for one's pleasure. It is undeniable the tension this song holds with conflicting feelings of desiring a deep connection and a need for self preservation. They both yearn for love, yet they fear becoming lost in it as well.
I resonate with Seagirl, wanting to be loved and submissive for somebody "let him paint me his Seagirl" but avoiding anything deep whether emotional and/or physical "dont turn me into wine, something to pass the time" but that is the risk of falling in love, becoming heartbroken eventually at the end of it all.
rainfall can be so ethereal and calming like how can the steady pace of rain fall induce a feeling ?
