I am just going to go ahead and say it.

The Minecraft movie looks awful.

Yeah, I understand that it's a kids movie. But somehow I am doubtful even kids will want to see it considering how bad it looks. The CGI... makes everything look creepy!

And Jack Black is just the most absurd thing ever to see. He's already vaguely square shaped just make him shave and use CGI to finish squaring him off! Course that might also look like nightmare fuel, but.....

I think I'll skip this and just play the game.

Hate to break it to folks, but cats - or pets in general - are not the cause of the declining birth rate in the USA.

There's a hundred legitimate and important reasons why women are choosing not to have children. Cats are not one of them.

I've noticed a trend lately of Manga colored Sesshoumaru figures.

BTW, I love this. But I also have entertained some thoughts as to why the shift away from the anime coloring of the character.

I am way late to this party.

But I am really glad that the trailer looks this good. I was worried that the remake would ruin the raunchy humor that makes up most of the series. This manga is a gem and in my humble opinion, Rumiko Takahashi's best work.

I just hope they can fix the ending.

So now we have a Urusei Yatsura remake and a Ranma 1/2 remake. Inuyasha remake when???

As much as I will love a remake for Inuyasha I don’t think it’s happening anytime soon :c

Inuyasha’s airing ended in 2010 (in some places The Final Arc arrived in 2013)

We also got a sequel that ended in 2022

And a ongoing Yashahime manga

We got a lot of content in recent years so idk if we will get more content in the near future:,(

I do agree about the timing however I wanted to offer a little point here.

That being, you can usually tell how good a show is doing by the amount of new merchandise that is available for it. Books, Toys, clothing, DVDs ECT all are the bread n butter of these anime studios.

The fact that Ranma 1/2 had virtually no new merch available yet was picked up for remaking is amazing in itself. Meanwhile Inuyasha does have a steady stream of new merch coming out and it's selling very well.

Which fuels my hope that a remake of Inuyasha is sooner than we think.

Once in a great while I come across the blog of a Fandom Crazy from years ago buried among my favorite tags. So out of curiosity, I check out their blog and see if, by some chance, they've grown up since I last saw them?

Of course not. They still sound like a rabid raccoon choking on moldy fruitloops.

Or worse, they look more mentally ill than ever before and are in desperate need of stronger medication.

At least their numbers are dwindling.

I do very much like the cartoon, as much as my girlfriend does and thus I trust her word. All her words. Because she had sooo many of them to share about that Live Action remake!

And yes to be fair I should give it a chance, but the truth is: I don't want too. My free time is limited as it is with life and all the responsibilities. I'm not gonna waste any of it watching this disappointment of a Netflix show.

I read an article about how the publisher of Ancient Magus Bride is going to stop hiring localizers and just turn to AI for all their translation needs. Using just 1 editor to proof read before publishing.

The reason behind the decision was 1: Money, it's cheaper all around, 2: Time, they want simultaneous online publishing in multiple languages. And the last: Due to issues with Western Localizers taking too many liberties when translating.

Now I get that some things do in fact get lost in translation and dialogue needs to be changed. Kagome for example needed to have her name changed for the Portuguese translations simply because her name sounded like "Shit myself" in that language. But there is an issue with translators going too far and inserting dialogue that is not even remotely the same as the original. In some cases, even throwing western social issues where they clearly don't belong.

You'd think that the western companies responsible for these Localizers would have corrected this issue. But instead they ignored it for years. Now AI is coming in to replace them.

There is also a strong possibility that AI will also handle anime dubs in the near future. Considering the problem also exists among american VA's as well, I would not be surprised if within a year we get an anime that is 100% dubbed by an AI.

How is it that the ONE PIECE anime is getting a remake when it's not even finished running?

Why can't the Inuyasha anime get a remake? This show would be amazing if it were given a remake where the filler episodes were removed, the missing chapters added and the animation done consistently throughout!

I know, different companies, but I still want to gripe here.

So if you live in the US and you bought any show/movie/documentary from the Playstation store - You may lose some of those purchases.

At least if they are from The Discovery Channel. Apparently Sony will lose it's license agreement at the end of the year so any Discovery Channel series or documentary people bought will be removed from their libraries on Dec 31st.

This is the All Digital future. Where companies have all the control and zero liability. Where they can take your access away from something you purchased without offering any credit in return. Did you want to rewatch Mythbusters? You'll have to go buy it again. Because there is no consumer protection for Digital goods and services.

Personally, I suggest sticking with physical media when possible. No company can take away your discs.

I am gonna throw a wild guess here: Book sales are probably down. It looks to me like Shiina is throwing a random stunt in a desperate bid for attention.

My theory as to why? Because these are not Shiina's characters, nor really his story. He only has a set number of chapters to write and he needs to justify his book deal every month.
