I am beyond angry right now

Of all the things Infold could have done during this situation, they give us Caleb's new solo banner. I saw the rumours about it, but was hesitant to believe them. They turned out to be true. Not only are they throwing Caleb under the bus, but the card is censored. There is no number on Caleb's basketball jersey and they've cut off MC's entire head in the shot where he lifts her up. So it turns out, the censoring they did of MC's face in Zayne's Heartfelt Gift continues. The company listened to the toxic girls who are so insecure they can't stand to see the MC they made.

This is not boding well for Rafayel's new myth, if you ask me. And I am dreading it, to be honest. I've been saving up for Rafayel's new myth for months. I started doing that before I even knew Valko was going to release. I really don't know what Infold is thinking, why they are making the decisions they are making, but it feels like they are making the worst decisions they could have made. After a month of ghosting everyone, after a month of complete radio silence, they drop a banner as if they're not in the middle of the biggest storm they've ever been in. Let me keep track of the promises that were broken: - Valko is part of the game's long term plan: broken - Rafayel's myth will be revealed in July: broken - A promise for better communication: broken - A promise to keep up the quality of the content: broken

After a month of ghosting us, they continue to keep their silence on the Valko situation. They do not even have the decency to address the uproar his cancellation has caused and that is unacceptable. This makes it seem that they are still waiting for the uproar to die down. It also makes it seem like they want to placate the Caleb girls who feel Caleb was neglected because they've been without a Caleb main story update for 500 days. Also, don't bet on it that their promised main story for Caleb will be done in time, because the entire schedule is fucked. And after Zayne, Caleb is the one they test the waters with. What this tells me is something we already knew: Infold/Papergames has no respect for global players. They want our money, they want us doing all that work for them that we did last month, but they do not appreciate their global players. They continue to disrespect us. Their reputation is already down the train and it's only gonna get worse for them the longer this continues. This entire ordeal tells everyone who is aware of the situation to just not bother with Chinese gaming companies, because they will never listen to their global players, they listen to the toxic part of the Chinese players and will bend over backwards for them, even canceling new content and they are subject to censorship by the Chinese government.

I know I'm not gonna touch another Chinese game after this. Because if they treat us like this, they clearly don't deserve any of my money. And I will everyone not to touch any Infold/Papergames game. They broke trust. Once trust is broken, it can not be earned back so easily. I will never trust any promise they make again. My aurum pass expired and it is not being renewed. It's weird for me. I have bought an aurum pass consistently for the year and a half I've been playing. I bought the yearly pass at the beginning of the year, because I loved the game and was sure I would play the entire year.

Now? After everything that's happened? I am not logging in anymore. Raf's myth will probably heavily influence my decision to pick up the game again or not. Though I honestly see myself quitting after Rafayel's myth, especially if that one has also been censored and MC is not as visible as before in the kindleds.

I can't support a company that treats its players the way Infold treats its players. There are no excuses for what they're doing and I'm done giving them any grace. They've ignored player feedback for years. I hope everyone who campaigned for Valko's removal is happy with the state of the game. Because this is what happens when a major content update is canceled.

Everyone who could not accept Valko and wanted him removed: You cannot complain now. I don't want to hear about. And if you think Valko supporters should stop making noise under Caleb's promotional posts? Rules for thee but not for me? We will not play by your rules, because you don't follow your own rules either.

You could have just ignored Valko, but you didn't. You could have just not pulled for him and not interacted with him. But no: you got him canceled. So deal with the consequences.

How dare they release a limited banner without addressing their silence. You've been silent for a month, where were you? Yes we can guess but you could communicate instead of throwing Caleb under the bus. You know I think I'd respect the audacity if they put out Rafayel's myth. But no can't hurt the face of the game let's throw out Caleb instead.

I reblogged a post not so long ago that said people will reach a point where they give up. Not to go back to the game but to leave it. And I think this has pushed me to that point. I'll miss the game, I'll miss all the boys and all the other characters, but I can't keep playing while Infold ignores a community demanding something so simple of them while being able to address the side of the fandom that sends them razor blades and cow dung within a week. They've shown where their priorities lie and I'm fucking done.

I uninstalled the game ages ago and I can't be arsed to go in and delete my account. But I'm officially letting go of hope, Idk how it's gonna go, Caleb really helped me mentally, I've mentioned before how his release helped me with an awful friend breakup. And I've felt my mental health warning over the past two weeks which I think his absence has contributed to. But I refuse to be treated like this.

Sorry to be negative but I kinda hope LADS shrivels up and dies, this whole Valko situation made me realise that it's not even really an otome game, it's a parasocial gacha game, that neglects it's own storytelling for a quick buck. And that's just sad. I've got better games to play. Given that none of them will have Caleb but I'll survive, it just might be a while to find a character to overtake him. Hell, I might even dig out Ikemen Revolution again and run back to the OG, Jonah. (Insert a delulu comment about how Jonah would never do this to me).

I'll miss Leb he seriously altered my brain chemistry, the weirdo, but hey all good things end, sometimes in flames, silence and cow dung.

I may also change my blog name, sessivecitrus was inspired by being a Caleb main so yknow might change that since LADS is tainted now. Also thanks if you read to the end, if you're feeling similar, just know I'm in your corner and you're not alone.

If infold's silence really is an attempt to wait for things to blow over(which i highly doubt bc theres proof of things happening behind the scenes) they need to realize boycotters are going to get tired. I finally can share this with the community!

I’ve been studying abroad in Japan for the last year, and have slowly been going to each of the suitors’ castles. While I unfortunately wasn’t able to get to Masamune’s, Yukimura’s, or Mitsunari’s (and didn’t go to any outside of the original casts), I was able to go to every other! This took me 11 months to do!

The first I was able to go to was Osaka Castle, where Toyotomi Hideyoshi resided, in Osaka.

Next was Tsutsujigasaki Ruins, the former Takeda Clan residence, in Kofu.

The next was the Edo Castle Ruins, where Tokugawa Ieyasu established his reign, in Tokyo.

After that was Kasugayama Castle Ruins, which, of course, belonged to Uesugi Kenshin, in Joetsu.

After that was Nijo Castle, where the Tokugawa Shogunate officially started and ended, in Kyoto.

Then I went to Azuchi Castle Ruins, where Oda Nobunaga ruled, in Omihachiman.

Then, finally, today, I went to Fukuchiyama Castle, which Akechi Mitsuhide reconstructed, in Fukuchiyama. They even had an Ikésen cutout (which was sadly not for sale)! Mitsuhide is by and far my favourite suitor, with him holding a special place in my heart.

I wrote a fanfiction about a reincarnation story once, and ended up loving the character that was meant to be Mitsuhide’s previous life so much, that he’s actually become his own character and a main character in my book.

This was something that meant a lot to me, as Ikémen Sengoku was my first “real” otome, and what inspired my love for Japanese history. It was what led to me coming to Japan and studying the language for a year, and so I wanted to honour that by seeing the castles. It has been absolutely the best thing I’ve ever done in my life, and I’ve loved every second of it.

Low-key wondering if I should switch to Rio's route instead of doing Nokto's, just for more Silvio.

I've done the first chapter of Nokto's and ngl I hate it when the MC ends up either sleeping with or thinking she's slept with the guy in very early chapters.
