God loves you. Personally. Powerfully. Passionately. Others have promised and failed. But God has promised and succeeded.
Max Lucado, ‘A Love Worth Giving’ (via ckerky)
A man must at times be hard as nails: willing to face up to the truth about himself, and about the woman he loves, refusing compromise when compromise is wrong. But he must also be tender. No weapon will breach the armor of a woman’s resentment like tenderness.
Elisabeth Elliot, The Mark of a Man (via set-apartgirl)
I’m so very tired, Lord. I need the strength to rest. I need the rest to fight. I need a glimpse of light.

It is not wise to reject the parts of the Bible that are convicting and only listen to words of comfort and encouragement. Those things are good, but the Bible is supposed to break us down and refine us, shape us into true Christ followers and show us the errors in our ways as well as build us up. There is joy in following the commands of The Lord and letting Him mold you.
If you entrust God with your ‘here,’ He will take you ‘there.’ If you give Him your ‘now,’ He will take care of ‘then.’
Christine Caine (via soundthewindchimes)
I wanna be close to You, God. So close that whenever I tend to walk away that my heart just keeps calling Your name and I run back into Your arms.

How Boaz felt about Ruth.
How Jacob felt about Rachel.
How Jesus feels about His church. #theend

The Christian life ain’t just about running away from the lesser things, but running towards the Greatest. At His feet, the volume of sin will decrease. He’s that good.
Why do I tell people at school about Jesus? Because that guy in the hallway may never step foot into church, but the church just stepped foot into that hallway.
There is no better destiny than to live my life for the One who died to save it.
Dating advice: Don’t date. Unless putting a ring on that finger is a prospect, it’s a generally bad idea.
5 Reasons We Go Through Tough Times
1. To remind us of Christ’s suffering.
2. Keeps us dependent on God.
3. Helps us focus on eternal life.
4. Demonstrates our faith to others.
5. An opportunity for God to make us more like His Son.
Everything we face in life is designed to draw us closer to God, make us more Christ-like and keep our minds fixed on the things of Heaven. There’s purpose in suffering.
The Clouds Cannot Defeat the Sun - original print from The Worship Project.
Welcome to a new mini-project within The Worship Project!
Beginning today, I’m going to be journeying 31 days of conscious worship. Much like my original 365 worship project - but only for 1 month - I’ll be creating 1 design each day for 31 days.
The idea for this mini-project has been birthed within the storm of me moving countries from New Zealand to the USA. Don’t get me wrong, I love this move, and I know that I’m right where the Lord has called me - but it’s certainly proving to be hard.
So I decided, rather than feel sorry for myself in silence (which helps no-one at all), I’m choosing to declare His truth and His promises each day for 31 days - as a personal declaration of my love for Him and my trust in His plans. Whether life gets easier or not is NOT the motive behind this, I just decided that it’s time to get up and praise. Time to get up and be thankful. Time to surrender parts of me, again, afresh to Him.
Journey with me in this, I’d love to see any art/songs/creativity that you make! #MonthOfPraise is what I’m tracking on all social media.
