Gaze breaks from female, inaudible scoff tossed beneath breath as he goes back to skimming each book with a keen eye. A sense of disinterest settles over him, thumb brushing against book spine, and holding the yellowed covered text closer. Yongguk hadnât expected much from the girl, truly, heâd never expected anything at all from anyone for that matter. Itâd just been the way heâd been brought up, the way heâd learned to think best. It made things much easier in the long run, especially if someone heâd come to know needed to be terminated by his own hands. Itâd been a common act, one heâd performed countless times in the past. Killing one had become sort of an art, something heâd come to perfect, something done without a single bat of a lash. Such a coldness residing in his chest hadnât come of itâs own accord, heâs lead to assume, itâd been breed into his veins no doubt, one trait, an aspect he could not rid himself of. Not that he truly wanted to in such a cruel world.
He turns, ready to head down the next aisle, distancing himself from the girl heâd come to call by a ridiculous pet name. Amusing really, it wasnât as if heâd formed some minor attachment to her by making such a seemingly jesting if not affectionate gesture, no, Yongguk simply held no desire to know the femaleâs name. His memory was much too perfect for his own good. If learned heâd never forget it, and what use was such information to him, he planned to never meet her again, even in a more unconventional sense. Despite blundering thoughts, footsteps have come to a halt by a few slipping of words, orbs veering towards female, and trailing upwards to catch sight of book she seemed to be reaching for. One not quite in her reach. A snort follows such a sight, Yongguk has half the mind to simply restate what it was sheâd spoken to him moments before, but alas, he moves closer, reaching upwards to grasp for presumed book, and plucks it from shelf effortlessly. Without a single word he drops it into her hands, turning upon heel in the same instance and heading over to opposite aisle to perhaps find the last book heâd been seeking.
The moment her gaze met these steel, piercing eyes again, she regrets her decision to ask him for help. Intimidating.  It doesnât seem like the male is very keen on altruism, either way. Ah, what a surprise it is to have him approach her again. Seulgi glances at him briefly, fingers curling around the book dropped to her hands, polite bow of grattitude following.  âThanksâ The female finally mutters in response, watching as he sneaks away again. Sheâs well-mannered, even if distant and seemingly lost at first sight. Life had taught her well how to act around people, constantly in straightened position with a smile on her lips. Disgusting and fake, she thinks sometimes.
Jumping off the stool, she cranes her neck to the side the slightest, golden hue scanning the book curiously. Mind-manipulation. Bingo. It seems like a topic sheâs going to enjoy. A very light smile ghosts over her pink lips before he peeks at the stranger again. What an odd curiosity washing through her it is that she canât help but to follow him with her stare. For amoment, Seulgi wants to simply pay for the book and leave the store. She spent too many minutes searching for something worth her attention, either way. On the other hand however, the girl could at least show him the correct direction to the desired section. She knew the place better than anybody, after all. With quick steps, she rushes behind the man, tapping on his shoulder.Â
âDonât ask him.â Seulgi points at the bookstore owner. âHeâd reccomend you the worst.â A faint frown carves on the girlâs features before she turns her head to the left, index finger pointing at the brown shelf in the corner. âThere. Next to the maps and guidebooks. Golden-black, thin book with carved âHâ on the side.â With that only, Seulgi purses lips a bit, before walking away with fingers fiddling with her wallet hurriedly.
âOh? Y-ye, sure.â Taken aback by the sudden question of the other, he just nodded his head, coming  a little bit closer to the female. Tilting his head as on of his hands was holding on the fabric and other one moving the zipper up. âHere you go. Any special occasion for dressing up so casually?â
âThank you.â The female mutters in response. With lips pursed, Seulgi glances over shoulder, faint, polite smile tugging on the corners of her rosy lips. She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, turning around to the male. âNo. No special occassion. Iâve just-- Iâve never worn a dress before. I want to own one...at least.â
Icebreakers I
"Excuse me, but youâve got a little something on your face there."
"Well... this is awkward."
"I guess this is the part where we shake hands and say 'nice to meet you', right?"
"I've seen you here before, but I guess I just never had the courage to say hello before."
"I'm so excited to finally meet you in person! I've always dreamed of this."
"Sorry, but, um... am I the only one confused here? Why hasn't anyone else showed up?"
"Watch out!"
"Am I dead? Are you an angel?"
"Okay, okay, listen. I miiiiight have had a little too much, and I miiight need someone to help me get home. You look trustworthy, so let's go."
"I'm sorry--please, can you help me?"
"I look forward to working with you."
"I look forward to serving you."
"Stay still! I'm trying to stop the bleeding!"
"I'm not trying to be nosy or anything, but... I've been seeing you here a lot lately, always by yourself. I just wanted to say, if you have anything on your mind, I'd listen."
"Um, I know you don't know me, but I think what you did back there was very brave."
"Some weather we're having, huh?"
No response? Itâd be a lie to say he was disappointed for truly Yongguk did not care. With desired book in hand he gives the hardback a glance over, a few pages were obviously worn out but it was to be expected with said books age. Thumb brushed over cover, examining a carved design. Why he needed this for class was beyond him, why he even bothered putting effort into said class was even more puzzling. Ah, well, it was just another one of lifeâs questions he supposes, shifting away from bookshelf and catching sight of whatever her name may be within peripherals, Yongguk forms an internal debate to perhaps mess with her a bit more, reactions received all to amusing, more so than those heâd had the pleasure of making acquaintance with,
âYo pup, do you know where to find the most recent history book?â
Skinny fingers twisted a book in a hold, eyes scanning the cover before she briefly skimmed the introduction, frown ghosting over her features upon another not-so-spectacular topic. No, it wasnât it. There were still few rows of books to check on, yet too high for her to reach. With a heavy sigh, Seulgi looks around, again accidentally catching the maleâs stare, then finally noticing the small stool behind him. So fortunate.Â
Reluctantly, she walks towards the latter, facing him as she was asked the question, small scoff slipping past her lips. âThereâs a bookstore owner over there... ask him.â Taking the stool, the girl walked back to the desired section, setting it near the shelve, climbing on it quickly. Noticing the seemingly interesting position on the highest shelf, she stands on her toes, extending her hand but it ends up fruitlessly. Still too high for the tiny female to reach. Only this idiot is around, at first sight still taller than her, even if she counted the stool under her feet. Luckily? Should she ask him? Turning the slightest to his side, Seulgi sighs only to speak up unwillingly.
âCan we have a deal?â
(âŞâŽ) á´Ęá´ á´ÉŞĘ á´Ąá´s warm, a light breeze blowing through the lively, awakened trees that remaining week of March. Standing still on the patch of the grass, he took in one long breath through his nose, relishing the scent of flowers blooming. Freedom was but a breath away. â Itâs nice to meet you, too. Ah, Iâm glad our first meeting didnât involve me distracting your peace and quiet time. â Smiling, he could not deny the friendly offer. He sat down beside her, his head turned sideways to gazed at the female. Namjoon was happy, just finishing Bangtanâs concerts on the weekend, successfully, he is content with his life. Everything was shining bright, including his own soul, which in the past had not shone with life in many moons. â Do you always invite strangers to sit with you, Seulgi? â Â
Some would consider Seulgi to be ignorant, almost too carefree. After all, inviting a complete stranger, an idol, though of this fact she wasnât aware, to spend time with her, was surely a childish act. Yet, this is what she is. A girl similar to an innocent and pure child, still not tainted with the sin of this world.
Inhaling deeply, the female eyes the river, throwing the smallest stone into it before she replies. âI... guess I do..â Her voice reveals small nervousness, yet a smile makes up for it. âWorld is one huge stranger to me. Youâre less of a stranger to me than approximately 98.7% of the world already. Gazing downwards, the girl tugs on the sleeves of her shirt before turning to Namjoon. âAnd you? Do you always say âyesâ to every girl you meet?â
{ seulchiâ }
âAye, yappy pom-pom, your in my way. Move.â Efforts are made in order to shift by said female in a narrow isle of shelves filled to the brim with books. Sadly the one he needed was above her head, reaching out without care for her discomfort that he may get to close, Yongguk takes desired book from shelve, eyeing the cover for a few moments,Â
âWho knew pups could read ~â
It was almost frustrating how the whole psychology section had nothing more to offer, al the books repetitive, equally well-known to Seulgi, leaving nothing but a hint of disappointment to carve on her features. Standing on her toes, she gazes up, puckering lips habitually with eyes focused on the particularly interesting title on the back before someoneâssloppy steps caused her to almost bump into the shelve. Ah, the same guy again. So fortunate. Surprisingly smooth this time, nothing more but another sardonic line was his only remark. Glancing over shoulder, she eyes the book before looking away immediately, then shifting to the other section to search for something appropriate for her instead.
ââŚâ
Itâs a silent cry escaping the femaleâs lips, quiet in volume but piercing the silence, causing her heart to almost skip a beat. She sits up instantly, covering her ears, her chest heaving up and down with a thick swallow following. Digits twitch against the side of her head with a shiver running down her spine. Itâs the same image constantly bothering her sleep.
âUnnie...â She whispers as soon as she steps into the eldestâs room. Golden hues seem to brighten in the faint star light reflecting in big orbs, yet itâs barely a sign of the tears threatening to cascade down her cheeks. Seulgi isnât even sure if her sister heard her, yet the mess in her head leaves her almost breathless. Hurrying closer, she sneaks under the covers, skinny arms curling around the Fireworkâs waist, head burrying in her neck. âItâs him again...â
Sometimes you have to forget what you feel, and remember what you deserve.

â-- Can you zip me up, please?â Seulgi asks, shifting her hair to one side of her neck. As much as she wishes, she isnât able to reach the zipper of her dress.Â
They say that scars tell stories, but my scars are letters in a story that nobody should read.

â-- Excuse me-- can you... move a bit to the side?â Seulgiâs voice is quiet, head tilting to the side as she poked the maleâs back lightly. Honestly, the girl didnât even reach his shoulder. He was tall, too tall and despite the female trying to peek at the store glass, she couldnât because of the crowd surrounding the store.
