(KWON JIYONG) - Rebirth

In light of yesterday’s discussion, I mentioned the “red substance” that would stick to the hands of people when they touch the USB of Kwon Jiyong. As to me, who also have no idea what was it about and had to rely to the unboxing first since I have no copy yet, my first assumption was that it was made of low quality. (Remeber the alive album that will rot after a few years? thanks @mycomplex for comparing lmao.)

ANYWAY, @acrzbb messaged me something important today. Thank you for the enlightenment! I really feel bad I didn’t understand his concept well enough. And that Kwon Jiyong is ahead of its time again. (I’m also glad he spoke about the charts. Cos yesterday they kept releasing news to these i’m not sure if charts were just being petty or whatsoever.) Anyway, I’m here to talk about the “red substance”.

The details of the usb (Name, birthday, blood type) were similar to a baby’s wrist band. A thing attached to the babies when they were born. Similarly, when you get to hand the usb yourself, the “red substance” will kind of stick to your hands. Not because it was poorly made, but it is the intention of Kwon Jiyong. It mimics a baby covered in blood that just came of the mother’s womb. In a sense, this is the rebirth of G Dragon—the revelation, the unmasking of the real Kwon Jiyong.

In relation to its concept, you, who have acquired the very piece of him, has the ability to discover his life from the moment we acquired the usb (birth), to know his life from start (intro) and until the end (outro). Just like the Truman Show, we, as audiences, will be able to see it through the 5 songs he made.

I just also found out that you were supposed to clean it afterwards. So I guess, all of these, makes sense and is in the concept after all.

this wasnt gdragon. this wasnt sequins and glitter and dramatic backup dancers. this wasnt arrogant lyrics or justifications to the media. this wasnt a call out or an explanation about who he is. this wasnt “getcho cray on” or “youre my heartbreaker” or anything like that.

this was kwon jiyong, the man who just wanted people to listen to him instead of hearing his voice.
